Gary Oldman, Christian Bale, & Heath Ledger also had one time a 'first american role'. If nobody is alowed to play american unless that person hasnt done that before, than nobody non-american would ever play an american. They wouyld never get their first american role because 'they havent played one before'. Are you realising what you're suggesting here?

My point in the last part was that people are always saying "(insert name here) has not PROVEN they are good enough to get the role in my eyes". So everyone else has the right to do this, but I don't? It's all about what each one of us can see in the person. Now this is just an example: I have yet to see ANYTHING that would lead to believe Keri Russell would be a good Catwoman. I have nothing against her or you, I just don't see it. The same goes for Kate Beckinsale and other here.

Are there actually others out there rootin' for Mos Def as the Riddler? This would be the first I've heard in regards to that. Pretty random. Not sure how I feel about that. I think there are about 25 other people off hand I can think of that I'd rather see in the role, but if Nolan ended up casting him for whatever reason, I'd support the decision, seeings how I now have 100% trust in him as the director of these films.

I think Doug Jones (Pan's Labryinth, Hellboy/ Hellboy 2, Rise of the Silver Surfer) would make a fair mister freeze. I mean he's kind of lanky and he can act as an intelligent person (abe sapien), which mister freeze is. Based on his performance in other movies, I feel he would be a good choice for Victor Fries.

He may look more sinister with a pair of his unique sunglasses that he often wears, but they're not neccessary.

Here's mine.

Ben Stein is a pretty 2-dimensional actor. In the history of his acting career, I've only seen him play one character. Monotone & emotionless pretty much describes that character. Pretty far off from the timid old ventriloquist with dual personalities.

I have no doubt that Depp would be a fine Riddler, and Vin Diesel may be okay as Freeze (think Iron Giant), but I'd prefer him as Killer Croc (think Riddick). Jason Alexander sure looks like Pengy, but again, he usually plays characters similar to his George Castanza character. There's a possibility he could pull it off, but none of his work so far makes me think he's right for it.

No Diesel what so ever, even as a dead guy, keep him far far away from any Batman movies, even Shumacher type films.

Diesel is good for very particular roles. He was great as Riddick, imo. Because of this, I think with the right costume designer, he'd make a good Lobo as well. And Killer Croc, Vin fits the bill again, and under Nolan's direction, I'm sure he'd nail it.

The villains I want for a BB3:

CATWOMAN: Keri Russell

-Keri Russell has a sophisticated, sexy look and the acting chops to portray the mysterious Selina Kyle. She's done work in all genres of films, making her a perfect choice to capture both the physical and emotion aspects of the character.

RIDDLER: Johnny Depp

-Let me be frank, I'm no crazed Johnny Depp fan, but I really see him excelling as the Riddler. TDK with Heath as the Joker is going to be tough to top, so WB is going to need someone of equal (if not more) talent and just as much star quality. Everyone knows Depp's film record, so I need not go into that.

PENQUIN: Bob Hoskins

-Just look at him, Hoskins IS Penguin in every sense. Hoskins has made a career out of playing ruthless characters. He can play brutal roles but he also brings a sense of stature and sophistication that the Penguin, owner of a popular nightclub, would need.

RUPERT THORNE: Ray Winstone

-We've had Falcone and Maroni, now bring on Thorne. Ray Winstone has the voice and the physical appearance to pull off the crime lord.

Maybe, but I just don't like her in the role. It may be because she seems kind of obnoxious to me, but also it is she has played the "sexy female actioner/femme fatale killer" way, way, way, WAY too many times. We have Tomb Raider, Mr. & Mrs. Smith, Wanted, etc. And given her rather bland and phoned in performances in those I think she would be the equivalent of casting Jim Carrey as the Riddler. Boring.

Thats my only problem with her is shes played similar roles, but so have beckinsale, granted not as many times as jolie. If we got jolie though, we would be extreamly lucky

I like Michelle Monaghan for Catwoman. Shedoesnt have the curves of comic Catwoman but I think her body type functions better for a highly successful cat burglar. I also find her to be a very good actress

HA! Good point, I completely forgot that! It's been a while since I saw those and only remember liking the first one.

I won't deny that her in black leather in those movies was not a point of...inspiration on my casting suggestion. But I think she is a very good actress who has done things like The Golden Bowl and really stole her scenes from DiCaprio in The Aviator. And I think as a whole she is known as a pretty actress, but isn't a megastar like Jolie is. And Jolie is a megastar for doing the femme fatale/seductress-ass-kicker she played in Tomb Raider and Mr. & Mrs. Smith. I haven't seen Wanted and I hear it is good, but it looks like almost every role she plays. She started in bad B-movies with that role and I thought she was really boring as Lara Croft and even moreso as a campy spy in that Brad Pitt movie.

I just think she is too associated with that persona. While Beckinsale is known for the Underworlds, they are more cult movies that few have seen and they don't define her career. I also think her Selene was more badass than Jolie was in the movies I've already mentioned.


P.S. Cereal Killer, I like Monahan and she is an interesting choice. However, she might be a little young. But if we don't see Batman 3 until like 2012 (which I think is a possibility), I'm fine with that.
