Oh I completely agree! I'm just saying that in the context of Nolan's universe. To me it just seems he would tweak the names and I was wondering how people would feel IF he did. But yeah, I love the name Victor Fries, I just didn't know if Nolan would wanna go so heavy handed into it.

With this crime-drama rather than superhero movie approach Nolan is taking, I just think it would come of as hokey if The Riddler's name was E.Nygma. Fries I could see them working around. It just doesn't seem like it'd fit into this new grittier Gotham.

But what would you think IF (again) they tweaked character names? Whether or not my opinions are wrong aside.

Now then, in the movies Nolan is making though, don't expect to see Mr. Freeze. A guy who shoots lasers that freeze people instantly is a little too sci-fi for what Nolan is doing in his movies. Don't expect to see the Lazerous Pit or Clayface for the same reason.

Riddler, Mad Hatter, Penguin, Catwoman, Talia Al Ghul, Black Mask, Mad Hatter, Poison Ivy, the Ventriliquist and others I could see appearing ina third. But Mr. Freeze, Clayface or the return of Ra's Al Ghul are not happening.

I think Freeze is just as likely as Black Mask. I mean, a guy with a scorched noggin? Granted, Two Face looks like half or Black Mask already, but that's just another reason they wouldn't do Roman. The physical similarity would be too much I think.

Now I could see them playing Freezes off as more of a bumbling scientist doings EVERYTHING he can to get back at the people who endangered the research for his wife. And he doesn't need a laser gun IMO. He could do just as well with liquid nitrogen or something. Nolan would mold it to fit his world I believe.

To a previous poster Summer Glau would actually be an excellent Harvey, but is likely too television for Nolan.

And the more I think about it, while Catwoman will be in the third, I like the idea of perhaps doing not the Riddler but another off-kilter choice from the mainstream. It could sound cheesy, but look what Nolan did with Joker and imagine him creep-ifying to psychopathic realism the Ventrilequist and Scarface? Maybe not as the main villain, but as a mobster in town it would show how the "freaks" are taking over Gotham now.

There were changes made to the Joker and Ras to bring them into reality. Why not Freise or Clayface?

Clayface could very well be turned into a master of disguise more than a Clay monster. Or maybe even using holograms to give a monster appearance when needed. That would work right into Nolan's world in a cat and mouse type of movie.

I would agree that Freise would be a tough one but Nolans movies are reality based not reality. Freise could be sort of like Iron Man in a tech vs. tech battle with Batman.

Oh and Ian McShane(Deadwood) for the Penguin.

McShane could have been a great Maroni or Falcone.

I don't know anything about Tucci besides the name sounding vaguely familiar... but he looks more like Freeze to me (at least in that picture)

On the topic of croc: Are there any good actors big (size) enough to play the killer croc or bane's role?

If Ivy happens to be in a sequel. I think Tilda Swinton would be perfect.
