The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

I noticed the majority of the cast is english or from the UK. Should it stay that way since how good these films are turning out? Aside from Eckheart, only american with a lead role are the actresses that played rachel?
Freeman & Roberts.
If Ivy happens to be in a sequel. I think Tilda Swinton would be perfect.
I love Tilda. But Ivy is supposed to be this megahot sexy Angelina Jolie type of person. Tilda just has read hair.

I'd love to see Black Mask portrayed by Benicio Del Toro. BM is one of my fav villains and Del Toro one of my fav actors.

That's funny... :funny:

You know that wouldn't happen.
People can dream..................................... I know he won't, but if he did I'd like to see him in his helmet. But, whoever does play him if he is used, I'd like to see a costume thats a cross between the original

and the classic

Ill always hate Nolan for creating a norm that not even fanboys would argue to get great characters like Mr. Freeze unto celluloid one more time

Fans had mixed opinions on his portrayal of Dr. Doom. However, he receives much praise for his talent on Nip/Tuck. I think Julian McMahon has the looks and the smarts/cockiness to pull off the Riddler. Here's my idea of how he'd appear in Nolan's Bat-universe.

The Joker (recast)- Daniel Day Lewis, Giovanni Ribisi, or Joseph Gordon-Levitt

The Riddler- Paul Bettany, Ewan McGregor, Casey Affleck, or David Tennant

Harley Quinn- Brittany Murphy, Marley Shelton, Anna Faris, or Kristen Bell

Catwoman- Charlize Theron

Penguin- Philip Seymour Hoffman or Bob Hoskins

Mad Hatter- Paul Giamatti

Killer Croc- Michael Clarke Duncan

He sucked as Dr. Doom twice. I swear he makes Doom more manipulative than menacing. I wouldn't even let him touch Riddler with a yardstick.

Tilda isn't sexy at all. at least in my eyes

No, she and Cate Blanchett I don't find attractive. Although, Blanchett for the first time looked actually decent as Irina Spalko in "Indiana Jones 4." Tilda just looks like she could've once had a Adam's Apple.

Not liking him too well. I still say Johhny Depp. If they want to keep the new Batman franchise's publicity up, they best pick an actor that's well-known and loved by the public. Depp has this publicity. He also is funny and can fit in with the "dark tone" of Nolan's Batman. Look at any the films he's played in that are by Tim Burton. He's got what it takes overall.

Joker

Lachey Hulme

Penguin

Bob Hoskins

Killer Croc

Michael Clarke Duncan

Riddler

Jude Law

Mr Freeze

Ben Kingsley

Catwoman

Jamie Murray- Dexter

David Tennant, Eric Stoltz, or Guy Pearce as Riddler, Jude Law is almost...but I just don't think he'd mesh with the cast, hes not weird enough for Nygma. They'd probably go with more of a Riddler akin to the Sale/Loeb version from Long Halloween, and I can't see Law in that role at all.

Side note: Ridder's original alias was Edward Nashton. So if Nolan doesn't want to use the who E. Nygma thing...He could do that.

Also, I'd really like Seymour Hoffman to be in the films as I think he would work really well with the established cast, yet I don't think his role as the Penguin would work as well as he would on other characters. Off the top of my head I suggest Calendar Man for Hoffman with one of the three above for Riddler.

Also I like the idea of a mob boss moving in, in Falcone's absence. Thorne played by Bruce McGill seems possible.

Exactly. The Riddler is more manipulative than menacing. He was miscast as Doom. He works for Riddler.

Had Ledger been chosen to play Bullseye in Daredevil, under a far inferior director, his performance may have been on the same level as McMahon as Doom. But look at what he can do in the right role, under a great director. I think the same can be applied to McMahon.

Everything from his cockiness to his hairline screams Riddler. Look past the FF movies, I mean, we all forgave Eckhart for the Core, and now believe in Harvey Dent.

These are my choices, i did these around the time BB came out so some of them would change over time:
The Joker - Johny Depp (If there is a re-cast i hope it's either Depp or Daniel Day-Lewis)
Two-Face - Leiv Schrieber (I'm happy with what i've seen from Eckhart though, think he looks great scarred)
The Riddler - Ed Norton (Has since played the Hulk so i guess he is ruled out) - Jeff Goldblum (for an older take on the villain) or Casey Affleck (For a younger take)
The Penguin - Phillip Seymour Hoffman - Bob Hoskins
Catwoman - Natalie Portman (can't see anyone else in the role anymore)
Poison Ivy - Scarlet Johansen
Black Mask - Clive Owen - Leonardo Di Caprio
Mad Hatter - Tim Roth (In the Hulk guess i is also ruled out)
Ventriloquist and Scarface - Robin Williams - Bill Murray - Steve Martin

The only casting i like on this entire page is Ben Kingsley as Mr. Freeze.

You dont find Cate attractive?! :wow:

Riddler - David Wenham
Penguin - Alfred Molina
Freeze - Anthony Hopkins
Cat-woman - Charlize Theton or Keri Russel
Ivy - Scarlet Johansen
Harley Quinn - Zooey Deschanel or Kristen Bell
Talia Al Gul - Eva Green
Ventriloguist - Bill Murray
Mad Hatter - Ben Foster
Black Mask - Clive Owen
Scarab - Jamie Murray
David Cain - Mickey Rourke or Ron Perlman
Deathstroke - Daniel Craig
Lady Shiva - Erico Tamura
Madd Dogg - Royston Innes

Portman doesn't really seem like the type that would play Catwoman and Scarlett Johansen is co-starring in the Spirit so IDK if they'd cast her for poison ivy. As for Ventriloquist, Robin Williams or Bill Murray...maybe for their performances in Jack and What about Bob. But they aren't my first choices.
