The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

The Riddler should be white (pale white), he should have red hair, and he should like the color green. In short, he should be Irish.

So he should be played by Conan O'Brien?

:word:

I know he's not really a villain, but I want to see Harvey Bullock, and I want to see him played by Forest Whitaker.

Whittaker would also make a good Clayface, though working him in would be hard in the first place.

Oh and Conan is not short at all. He is surprisingly like 6'3 or 4 or something.

wat does that mean? does he have a reputation for being difficult on set?

I think he means making Clayface fit into the story would be difficult, Whittaker has no such reputation.

who said anything about Conan being short? and it's not surprising he is tall, he looks ****ing massive when he stands next to like, all of his guests.

I misread this quote, and thought it said AND short, not in short. Especially because most Irish people do have a reputation for not being too tall.

And yeah, I meant Clayface would be hard to work with, not Whittaker, whom I hear is a very decent fellow.

I'd rather see Whitaker is a more human role. Hence why I think he'd make an awesome Harvey Bullock.

I'd like to see Brian Howe as Bullock.

And while I'm at it, Judi Dench for Leslie Thompkins.

I just saw Paul Giamatti play a villain in "Shoot 'em Up". Having him play The Penguin is reason enough to include the character.

I'd say have Robin Williams as The Riddler, but his well-known face may be too distracting for the Nolanverse. He can bring the menace AND mix it with some laughs, though, and he can act. And I would not mind an older, intellectual Riddler.

Michael Madsen was genetically engineered to play Harvey Bullock.

I am beginning to really like the idea of Emily Blunt as Catwoman.

Mark Strong would make a v. good Roman Sionis.

If the Joker is recast (please), then I think we would need an actor of already established pedigree, so it doesn't seem like a disrespecful fill-in. I know it seems a little obvious, but we could do a lot worse than Johnny Depp. Just purge Jack Sparrow from your minds.

Michael Sheen (no relation) would make an absolutely perfect Riddler.

That's a great cast right there sans the Joker recast which I'm not feeling, just my opinion of course.

wow, aside from the already Nolan-casted characters, I really dislike this list.

why? mind you this is a rough idea of just people running through my mind. im gonna change it eventually except for the girl roles.

I'd like to hear why you think Ryan Philippe could play the Mad Hatter

Jason Alexander, Ryan Phillipe, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Vin Diesel...

what the hell is this? Sounds like some wack show on WB...

whoops lol you see im doing two cast lists at the same time and Phillipe and he was meant for something else.

lol welll Jason was solely cast because he always struck me as the Penguin for some reason. Vin Diesel looks like Freeze but im not really content with casting him as freeze. And i seriously think Sarah could pull it off despite your opinions.

I must commend American Idiot, Johnny Drama, and regwec for nailing how easy it would be to use Bane in the next movie. Some urban camo, bulletproof vest, and a balaclava and gasmask (depending on tactics) would make for an incredible villain. Not only would Bane be a mental match for Batman, he would present the greatest physical threat ever faced by a wide margin.

Bane also presents another mirror image of Batman as the films have been portraying. A man that trains to the peak of perfection, but unlike Bruce Wayne, is not adverse to killing or using firearms. I feel Bane is the logical choice for a villain that would present a higher threat level to Batman and Gotham.

I must parrot many others and nominate Javier Bardem for the role. He would be absurdly perfect.

god I would love to see Bane, and to be honest he is the only "logical" villain I can see happening in another Nolan film. Nolan could even break Batman's back (or maybe something a little less extreme, but homage to) as a way to bring another crime fighting agent into Gotham...not suggesting Robin of course, but maybe this would be Barbara's excuse....far fetched, I know, just an idea.
