The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

Giovonni Ribisi = Alberto Falcone (I'll go edit that one).
That is so weird. I was thinking about him as Alberto Falcone the other day. But more as a crime boss than the Holiday storyline.

I keep seeing people suggest Emily Blunt for Catwoman... Am I really the only one who thinks she'd be a much better Ivy?
i was the first to suggest her a long time ago, and many others like her so nope you are not alone

Penguin = Philip Seymour Hoffman

Bane = Javier Bardem

Sam Worthington!

Riddler, Black Mask, somebody! Anybody!

damn I'm surprised and disappointed I didn't think of him before. Your right, for anything, though an allied detective like David Baird would be perfect.

If anyone's wondering who the heck Sam Worthington is, take our word he's an expectational actor (and yes, Australian again). The whole world will know him after James Camerons 3D movie Avatar is released in 2009 (he's the lead), he was shortlisted for James Bond and has a main role in the new Terminator with Christian Bale.

David Suchet would be AWESOME as The Penguin.

Jonathan Pryce for Mr Freeze.

David Suchet is an incredible and phenomenal actor, he can portray a wide range of characters - especially ones that are domineering and authoritative (even to the point of suffocation - see the BBC's Maxwell for an example).

I think he would play an excellent Rupert Thorne :-

holiday was harvey dent and his wife.

Going off topic for a moment.

Actually, it is never quite clear who actually is Holiday. Jeph Loeb and Tim Sale aren't saying either. Gilda claims at the end to be Holiday but things don't line up well. (How does she sneak out of a hospital after suffering a concussion to go murder someone, then sneak back in with NO ONE noticing?) Also, the time she suspects of Harvey of being Holiday, it is revealed that the death was fake.

To me, the evidence was pretty clear that Alberto Falcone was Holiday the whole time. I suspect Gilda simply thought that Harvey was killing people, but her fragile psyche couldn't handle the guilt of what he was doing for their future, so she convinced herself that she had done the first couple murders too.

I could go on and on as to where all the little hints are but there we go.

Two-Face was correct in there were 2 Holidays, Alberto and himself when he killed Falcone.

We now return to our regularly scheduled program.

Another person who is not a villain (Maybe we should make a thread for casting other supporting characters), but who I'd like to see in actually a fairly major role, maybe to take Harvey Dent's place in a way, is Jason Bard.

And to Play him, Ethan Hawke.

Oh and I didn't just base it off the hair and beard. I went and found a 2 picturex where it looked as similar as possible.

i like Worthington alot! But man, he looks like Billy ray cyrus without the long hair in that pic!

Does anyone think Nolan could pull a Burton and maybe create a side villain to incorp in the story like how Burton made Max Shreck? I think we can all agree we liked Shreck (devilishly played by Christopher Walken) and even some of the comic creaters did as they used him afterwards. I wouldnt be too opposed to something like this, like making a non rogue character who's just as evil to play into the story.

Hawk would work as Bard for sure, but i think Bard seems like a great character for a no name to next big thing type of actor to shine in.
