Raping the English language aside, the issue is less of you being a girl who has an opinion, and more of "how the hell are any of those actresses campy in any form?".

It's not that we don't like opinions, it's that we don't like when rash opinions are tossed out with little to no clarification as to WHY they're your opinions.

We don't give a damn if you're a girl or a guy either. We just want clarity.

And I agree with Crook... We want clarity on both explanations and grammar. Try to clean it up just a tad?

I wouldn't say those actresses are "campy," they're just... typical. Every time there's a female role to be cast the same names are always being tossed around. They've all been in so many popular movies that no matter what type of role they're playing you pretty much know what you're going to get. I'd rather see more original casting. I don't mean cast all unknowns but cast some actors and actresses that break the mold a little bit and haven't already played a role like what they're being cast for.

Most of the actors and actresses listed here could fill the roles just fine, but I'd rather see some fresh faces.

Look, I'm not saying she plays all roles the same way, I'm just saying she's played just about every type of role there is. That's what my comment meant. It means they're versatile actresses. It's actually a compliment.

First of all it's not like I was directly targeting Cate Blanchett with my original post, I was just making a generalization. In these casting threads people always suggest actors or actresses who have already played a similar role. I mean, who wants to see Sarah Michelle Gellar play a ditsy blonde AGAIN? And who wants to see Angelina Jolie in her stereotypical "Femme Fatale" role AGAIN?

Some actors and actresses are so popular and have done so many movies that no matter what role they play you'll find yourself thinking, "this is kind of like that character he/she played in movie X." Not every performance is exactly the same, but after a while they start to feel kind of familiar. I'd rather see someone who had never played a role like it before.

I'm not saying any of these people are bad actors or actresses, I'm just saying they're not the only good ones.

SMG would be a good Harley. Shes very witty, shes cute, and she can kick ass.

I don't think there is anything talented about her outside of her looks. She played a good manipulative **** in Cruel Intentions and that's it.
