The Dark Knight Rises Casting Call (All Villains)

Yes Holy Grail is the don. I might watch some episodes actually. Or should I watch A Fish Called Wanda or Holy Grail?

Holy Grail;

if only for Michael Palin with the speech about how he built his castles in the swamp.

:D

True;

Just shows how awesome Palin could be - no wonder the rest of the Python's considered him to be the funniest.

Life of Brian: The funniest ex-leper ever on screen. Not to mention the Biggus Dickus stuff.............

Cary Elwes as Thomas Elliot/Hush

Shawnee Smith as Selina Kyle/Catwoman

Briana Evigan as Holly Robinson/Catwoman II

Heath Ledger (R.I.P.) as The Joker

Ryan Reynolds as Dr. Kirk Langstrom/Man-Bat

Aaron Eckhart as Harvey Dent/Two-Face

Cillian Murphy as Dr. Jonathan Crane/Scarecrow

Tobin Bell as Dr. Victor Fries/Mr. Freeze

Casey Affleck as Roman Sionis/Black Mask

Philip Seymour Hoffman as Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin

wtf affleck for mask?and who are we saying at the top viggo is?
and actually asidefrom casey i dont mind your cast

After seeing Michael Shannon great creepy performance in revolutionary road, I wouldn't mind seeing him as the riddler.

Viggo Mortensen - Dr. Victor Fries
This was a somewhat random choice if Nolan decides to use the character, but he's a good actor and I think he's definitely capable of bringing the gravitas to the role that made it popular during B:TAS, given that Nolan follows that characterization. I've seen at least one other post elsewhere online for Mortensen as Fries, so I'm not alone.

Sean Bean - Deathstroke
Possible choice for the villain seen in the action figure line. I posted this choice in agreeance from another poster on another thread.

Liam Aiken as Lonnie Machin/Anarky
Ralph Fiennes as Julian Day/Calendar Man
Ron Perlman as Matt Hagen/Clayface
Robert Englund as Hugo Strange
Derek Mears as Waylon Jones/Killer Croc
Robert Knepper as Tony Zucco
Brendan Gleeson as Rupert Thorne

Seeing as the next movie won't be out for quite a while, I find some comfort in watching older movies but via a set of Nolan inspired Bat goggles. I like watching Clockwork Orange and I can totally see that would have been the closest we could have seen to a solo Joker movie. I watch the movie Seven, and imagine an older Caped Crusader and Robin taking down their final case against the Riddler/Kevin Spacey. I watched a documentary the other day on Richard "The Iceman" Kuklinkski and could totally see Mr. Freeze exisiting in a Nolan Universe. I know I read that Nolan was inspired by Blade Runnner for Batman Begins and Heat for The Dark Knight. Perhaps a thread could be started on what the inspiration could be for the third film.

If Clayface is used like in the sense that I had the idea for (in which he's more of a soldier for the mob, like French, Fitzy, and Dellahunt were for Frank Costello in The Departed), and plays a fairly small but badass role, I want to see Danny Trejo do it.

I think Guy Pearce would be perfect in all facets of the Riddler. The look, the voice, the attitude. Everything.

I would love to see Casey Affleck as the Riddler, but that's just me (and a couple others) :p

*Hurm* He's already been in one of Nolan's films though; can't have em' be a Nolan hog like Bale now, right? :oldrazz:

Well that's one of the reason I like him for the role and why I think he is a realistic bet to get the gig. Nolan was the guy who coaxed his best performance out of him in Memento. And the traits he displayed in both Memento and LA Confidential are perfect for Riddler, and in particular, the Fed Riddler angle.

I'd like to see Guy Pearce. I think he'd be great. I'd actually be for anyone other then mainstream celebs like Depp or Jolie who stardom would overshadow the team effort that is so prevalent in Nolan's films.
