Hi Guys,
My Batman sequel cast:
1. Joker = Adrien Brody : Adrien has a very somber face, but an increasingly creepy smile. I think he'd be the perfect choice for the sad, struggling comedian who loses everything, than goes insane. Hell, I saw a picture of his girlfriend, and she actually looks like Harley. Adrien is a brilliant actor very versatile. He can be both a psycho (Villiage) and somber (Pianist). I just think he'd be perfect for the role.
2. Harvey/ Two Face : Denzel Washington. I always loved the concept of a black man holding such a highly powerful position in a city as corrupt as Gotham. It always pissed me off that the WB decided to suddenly make Harvey white again in BF. I thought Billy Dee Williams was an excellent casting choice. Denzel is a man who commands respect on screen, even when he's playing a damn crooked cop. You've all seen how brilliant an actor he is, and how great a bad guy he is. Now imagine him as an intellectual bad guy. Denzel has Harvey's build, hes popular with the ladies (So Apollo would suit him nicely), and he's speaks with extremely intelligent diction. I think he's be perfect for Harvey. He also has a very commanding voice like Harvey in TAS. I also think it would be nice if his venomous hatred for Falcone was based on more than meets the eye. I think it would be great to have Harvey connect Falcone to the all prevelant rasicm found in the mob. It would then be cool and ironic for Falcone's number one thorn in the side to be a black man.
3. Talia = INDIRA VARMA : I have to be honest guys. It really pisses me off to find threads casting Talia and everyone is casting white women for her. Especially since it has been confirmed in the comics that Ra's is indeed of Arabic descent (Hush Returns). I just get the feeling that people don't like the concept of Batman having a brown skinned love interest. Don't get me wrong, Rachel Weisz is stunningly gorgeous, and a brilliant actress. But come on guys, can you honestly tell me that she looks anything like the brown, hazel eyed Talia from the comics? Indira Varma is just so perfect for this role it's unbelievable. She is one of the most beautiful women walking the earth, and a BRILLIANT actress. She's british too, which could play off of Liam's accent being british. You guys go watch Kama Sutra and you'll see what I mean. She is so deadly seductive, it is truly amazing.
4. Catwoman = Rosario Dawson : Okay, this has been a heated debate for some time now. I hope that by the end of this section everyone can come to peace with the whole arguement. Ok, here goes.
When I read YO, I saw a brown skinned, mini afro sporting Selina. And in Frank Millers YO script, Selena is also a black woman. Now, I know this might seem farfetched to some, but don't you guys think that's just a little too much of a coincidence? It is just my opinion that, if everyone is going to follow YO as the definitive Batman origin story, than why can't the concept of a black woman as Selena be acceptable? I also think that it would add alot to the story. Imagine, Falcone has a half-black illegitimite daughter. Do you know how insane of a twist that would be. Twenty something years ago, a budding Carmine, right on the threshold to power, rapes a black woman who moved into his part of town, and kills the rest of her family
in order to teach her a "lesson". Then she gives birth to Selena. Giving Selena all the more reason to leave Falcone with some mermanent marks on his face. I really hope Nolan and Co. cast a black actress for Catwoman. I think It would just contribute so much to the story. And I hope it is Rosario.
None of you could ever argue that Rosario with short hair doesn't bare a heavy resemblance to the Catwoman in YO. Plus, she so has the absolutely critical Catwoman chest ^^. Way moreso than Angelina, Charlize, or Jessica Alba. She is also a very versatile actress. She can play the strong woman, and the bad girl ( i.e. Gail). She's drop dead gorgeous, an excellent actress, and looks the part. I think she'd be perfect for Selina.
Just my thoughts folks. Please drop feedback
