Almost Famous proves she can pull off darker roles. She was aweosme in that movie. Seriously, I personally couldn't give a crap about what other people think, Almost Famous is the best movie ever.

it is a great movie, but her character wasn't "dark." troubled? yes. dark? not really. she was great in that movie as this hippie girlfriend of the lead singer, i wanted her to win the Academy Award.

Kate Winslet is much sexier than Kate Hudson, in my opinion. And Winslet isn't zaftig and cherubic anymore - she's slimmed down a lot in the last couple of years (although I think she was just as sexy, maybe even more so, back when she was curvier). She'd be great as either Catwoman or Ivy.

Julia Roberts is so damn overrated. She only has two truly good films, Steel Magnolias and Pretty Woman, and the latter hasn't aged all that well.

Kate Winslet should have won the Oscar for Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind. I love that movie. One of my favorites. Kate Hudson was damn good in Almost Famous, but her subsequent roles haven't been up to that standard.

She's not exotic enough. If Catherine Zeta-Jones or Monica Bellucci were younger, they'd be great. I'd prefer Weisz or Beckinsale.
