He is perfect for an older Superman. Even better the Alex Ross version. What about the rest?

Yeah, he's been my top choice for Superman for a while now, ever since I first started watching Mad Men.

As for the rest, some of them wouldn't have been my first choice, but I can actually see most of them. I really like Lena Heady for Wonder Woman, and Craig for Aquaman. I think Billy Crudup is better for The Atom though, myself. The only one I don't really care for is Jeffrey Dean Morgan as Batman. I've always liked the thought of Jeffrey Donovan... I think he could make a great Neal Adams-ish Batman.

I've thought that too.Only The Neal Adams one though. He's a perfect Vic Sage/The Question, though.
My first choice for The Justice Batman was Josh Brolin but i have heard that one before. So I chose JDM.

i beat that over in another thread, earlier darn board issues tonight.

STARMAN the movie

Don't read the spoilers, I reveal parts of the comic in how I think the movie should be structured.

Jack Knight: Joseph Gordon Levitt
Jack is a "Junk Dealer." A collector and seller, and dealer, of antiques and collectibles. And thats all! He is the son of the now retired Starman, Ted Knight. But he is no hero and has no desire to be, until he is sort of forced into the family business.

Ted Knight (the Dad and original Starman): William H. Macy
Ted was Opal City's Starman, its hero. He kept it safe. But now he is too old and has retired, leaving the mantel of Starman to his son David. He and his son, Jack, often clash because Jack rejected the mantel and the life of a hero. But recent events have brought them closer than ever as Jack has to become Starman.
In the movie we see very short (possibly black and white) flashbacks of Ted in the Starman costume. But we never see the older Ted in the costume.

David Knight (the brother): Liev Schreiber
David is a good son who only wants to make his father proud, including becoming Starman. He and Jack never seemed to get along.
It is David's murder in the beginning of the film, on his first night as Starman, that forces Jack into becoming who he was meant to be.
Also, there is a scene where Jack talks with the ghost of his brother that MUST be in the movie.

The Mist: Christopher Lloyd
The Mist is the driving force behind the movie, while trying to get his final revenge against Ted Knight (the original Starman) he sets everything in motion.

but who should play Nash (the Mist 2?)

Nash is set up to be the main villain for the sequal. In this movie we set up her character, who she is and where she comes from. The final acts of this first Starman movie sets her character up to be the bad guy in the second.

the O'Dares?
cops.jpg

The O'Dares are a family of Cops, all of them, who have helped the original Starman and now help his son Jack.

Or the Rest?
starman29.jpg

The morally ambiguous Shade, child like Solomon Grundy, the alien Starman Mikaal Tomas, all of the supporting cast. Not sure who could play who. But they should be included somehow, either in the first film or the sequals.

Thanks, I like the cast too. It would be great if we got to see them in the Starman movie (which I hope is about Jack).
Still unsure about who should play Nash, her brother (and son of the Mist) Kyle, Mikaal, Grundy, the Shade, or any of the O'Dares.

If anyone has any thoughts feel free to post them.

When I read the Shade in the comics I imagined his voice to sound like Hector Elizondo. But not sure he would work as the Shade in a movie.

What about Lou Ferrigno as Grundy?

Haha, Lou as white hul.... I mean Grundy, I could definitely see that!

well lou is even more jacked today then he was in the hulk show.

I almost want to cast Zooey Deschanel as Nash, but she and he, Joseph Gordon-Levitt, were already in 500 Days of Summer together. Whoever plays Nash needs to be someone who can play a mentally disturbed person, in my mind Nash is sort of all over the place, serious and sad one minute and big and boisterous the next.
Who would you guys pick?
