She is a goddess of DEATH. Not like she could die anyway. XD

In these two shots you can tell Hela's head peace can "emote" to fit her mood or for what she sees fit at the time.

Here her head piece is pointed upwards and the spikes are closer together.

Compared to this shot where her head piece is more wide and the spikes are spailed out.

Cate Blanchett's Hela is just in a whole other level.
The performance she gives just in brief glimpses of footage, the range of emotions... She just adds so much weight and importance to her scenes and to the overall movie. She's a showstopper. As someone already putted "she's everything".

She looks like she is having tons of fun! Loved everything we saw so far.

Its interesting enough they all played as Elves...but in the mcu...Villains of all kinds. :D

I think you may be onto something there, the headdress certainly seems to be an extension of her body almost, rather than a fashion statement. :cwink: She can certainly materialise it at will. I love that it can seemingly 'emote'. :woot:

I love that little swagger she does. :funny:

I know, right? :funny: She has so much attitude, I love it. I saw someone commenting on twitter that Hela shows more personality in this trailer than Malekith does in an entire film, it's so true.

Agreed to all, she's definitely everything. :ilv: One thing in particular that I find interesting is the accent that Cate is using for Hela, she doesn't sound like the Asgardian characters at all. Hela's accent is like a weird cross between a more localised English accent (rather than the RP English accent that the Asgardians have) and an Australian accent, it's weird and I love it. It makes sense, because Hela wouldn't sound like an Asgardian, not being from Asgard and all. We don't actually know where she's from or what she is yet.

Elves clearly make good villains, maybe they've been corrupted by the One Ring. :woot:

I love her character now more than I did even after the first teaser. Just love how much she enjoys what she's doing :D. You can just feel the pure enjoyment she gets from the destruction she's unleashed on Asgard.

Which I'm all for. Nothing wrong with a villain that just revels in their own darkness. Could really be one of the better villains of the MCU if this is maintained throughout the movie. Cate Blanchett really is outstanding in this role. Though she's really amazing in most roles :).

Hela is gonna crush in her fight scenes. My god she is just so epic.

Yes, you've just pinpointed exactly why I love her characterisation so much, she looks like she's really enjoying herself and is almost in love with her own carnage and destruction. I always love a villain who is just evil because they enjoy it rather than it being a sad pity party because they were wronged in some way. In all honesty, she comes across as being a little bat**** crazy, in an awesome and funny way. :funny:

Cate is queen, I knew she'd own this role. I've been re-reading some old Thor comics and she really is Hela, she captures the character's massive ego, slightly seductive nature and sardonic sense of humour so well.

Gah, so amazing. I'm loving the Wonder Women crossed-wrist pose she pulls in the second gif to block Odin's spear which I can't remember the name of.

Imagine Wonder Woman vs Hela, my god that would be an epic fight. :hmr:

That would be a short fight.
The level of power Hela has been shown to possess just puts her in another level.

Well, yeah... but it would be an awesome short fight. :cwink:

"I thought you'd be pleased to see me."

"What were you the god of again?"

:ilv:

Hela was excellent in the teaser. And she was even better here. Really think we're onto a massive winner here.

I think you're right. Great spot

Not necessarily
WW was specifically born/created TO kill gods after all.

And just because she was born for a specific purpose doesn't mean she is capable of executing that to everyone. Hela has been shown to be on the level of power on par with Odin and that would be like WW taking on Zeus.

Read the Silmarillion. The reason the elves are wise figures of light and goodness in the "present", is because they were very, *very* naughty for a long time. They learned their lessons in the school of hard knocks. The ones who survived, anyway. I mean, the second most destructive, hubristic individual in the whole setting is Feanor, and he's only second to *Morgoth*, AKA Satan. And its up for debate whether he *actually* comes in number two or not.

More importantly, just looking at her demonstrated power level, she's nothing approaching the level of "Can crush Mjolnir".

Also, the whole 'godkiller' thing is not some special secret power Diana has. She's the 'godkiller', because *she* is a god. "Only a god can kill a god", apparently. Her being a god(dess) meant that when she killed Ares, he stayed dead permanently-ish. She still needed to actually have the power to kill him in the first place.

Ive read it numerous times over in the past. Lol. :)

Hela is my "weakness". GOT reference.
