Cate Blanchett seems to have done an outstanding job and i have no doubt she will indeed become the best MCU villain yet and one of the best comic book villains ever for that matter. I don't even want to think about potential disappointment after they've done so much build up with this character (miles more than any MCU villain before her, bar Thanos), but I definitely trust Waititi. He'll deliver.

Odin on the right hand side with what looks like Laufey. Interesting!

I really liked that shot. It's beautiful imagery and most likely will help to kinda flush more the story of Asgard and the "mythology" surrounding it. All of those things that involve the realms, the gods, the history it's all very interesting and one of those things that always fascinated me about the "asgardian lore".

Agreed, my favourite scene in TDW is the brief one when Odin is showing Thor and Jane the moving book with the history of the Dark Elves and they're in that beautiful room with a hologram type deal (I don't know how to explain it) of Yggdrasil and the Nine Realms. I love little glimpses of Asgard's history like that. It was also the most visually beautiful scene in the film, along with Frigga's funeral.

She probably is, though I hope they don't kill off her character or something, at least, so she can return, if she is interested.

Right? She looks incredible in that body suit. I believe she worked with Chris Hemsworth's personal trainer to get fit for playing Hela, it definitely paid off.

I'm still more than 90% convinced that Hela will be in IW or A4 or both. There are just too many subtle things that have been pointing in that direction since the start for it all to be one big coincidence.

- Josh Brolin posting on instagram that Thanos is #JustAPurpleGuyLookingForLove and then subsequently deleting his post a few minutes later, seemingly inadvertently confirming that Thanos will definitely have a 'love interest' of some sort in IW.
- Marvel going to into overdrive to really hammer it home (pun intended) that Hela is the goddess of DEATH. SHE'S THE GODDESS OF DEATH, HAS EVERYONE GOT THAT YET?
- Marvel Comics all of a sudden pairing Thanos and Hela up in a romantic sense, two characters that had never even interacted with each other in the comics prior to this year. It's already been proven repeatedly on this board that Marvel have a long history of trying to synergize their comics with their movies.
- Mark Ruffalo seeming to hint in an interview that Hela actually becomes the manifestation of Death itself at some point, and Cate Blanchett also confirming that Hela becomes more powerful throughout Ragnarok.
- There being no hint whatsoever so far of Death being a separate character in this universe, and no reports of an actress being cast in the role even though IW has already finished filming and A4 is also deep into filming.
- Hela's motives being hinted at being anger that the Asgardians are dismissive of death and the natural balance which seemingly also aligns with Thanos' motives of wanting to 're-balance the universe' in IW.
- The fact that Hela has even been made the Big Bad in this movie in the first place to me is a flag, she's a character that has never played more than a small supporting role in any of the comics Ragnarok storylines, yet Marvel Studios decided to make her the big villain here, there could be alternative motives at play from them, to position her as a key player in the MCU.

I could probably go on, but they're the biggest reasons that I think that Hela will be in IW.

I'll be surprised if she's underused, because she's been prominent in every major trailer released thus far, and Blanchette's Hela seems like a villain who will be all the big scenes in the movie except those that have Thor banished in that faraway planet. I have very high hopes for her and I'm actually looking forward to her scenes more than just about everybody else's except Tessa Thompson's Valkyrie.

There is absolutely no way she will be underplayed. Hell I'm even hoping she gets used even more. Like even if they don't make her the character of Death like lots of people want, I'm hoping she reappears in Infinity War or another movie, even a solo movie for a villian would be great.
