I'm thinking about doing this for insurance purposes.. just incase my house burns down or some unforseen bad thing happens.. have you guys ever thought about doing this?

and not just figs.. I have a few thousand dvds.. I may do those as well

No, but that does sound like a good idea. I think Rough has done this.

what do you do exactly.. cuz.. i am in the land of earthquakes

make a list of all of your stuff.. what you paid for it(or how much it is worth) so you can make a claim forit.. I think you might have to have it legally bound for them to actually take it seriously if you have a fire and lose them though and I;m not sure how to do that.

Probably. You'd have to pay some type of insurance to cover them. Maybe the same people that insure baseball memorabilia and such would do it.

I have an Exell Spreadsheet. It has 3 tabs, one for Loose, one for MOC and one for Statues and Busts. It is desperaely out of date.

But it has a few colums. Figure, Series, Company, Condition, notes ....stuff like that.

Shoot me your e-mail address and I can email you the template....though it's pretty base and easy to do.

But for insurance purposes it is ultra important to have this stuff catelouged.

I am in the process of doing my comics....now that is a lot bigger of a project, but it is always a good idea to do this. Also once you are done e-mail it to yourself so that it's in your E-mail database to that if there is a fire and you lose your computer you still have access to the catelogue.

It's already worked into my homeowners insurance, so I don't need to buy a separate policy. My TV, DVD's, Comics and all of my Punisher stuff is well taken care of if ever disaster strikes.

I'm going to be fulling inventorying everything I have when I move. I'm going to have many different boxes (ordered a ton of 'em for free from the post office), each numbered. Then I'm going to put it all into my computer in a spreadsheet.

Oh, and I'm probably going to get insurance on the MOC figures. I'm going to list them at Toyfare's value as well.
