CBS Orders Genius Drama Scorpion
penned by Nick Santora (Prison Break, Breakout Kings) — follows an eccentric genius and his international network of super-geniuses as they form the last line of defense against the complex threats of the modern age.

well this sounds awesome.

I saw it described as a "serious" take on The Big Bang Theory.

It looks ok except the forced way they shoehorned Katherine McPhee's character in.

This started tonight. Thought it was okay, and with the way the geniuses communicate and speak in general the pacing is quick and fun. Didn't realise at first that the lead is Rakharo. I'll stick around for a little while.

2 many other shows 2 watch. Will check this out tomorrow. Monday is loaded with competition

Okay definitely sums it up. Not great, not terrible. Nothing new or stand out about it. The waitress and her son are regulars is the only surprising part, mostly because it felt like they would be guests of the week, not regulars.

I thought this was good in a popcorn movie way, which isn't a bad thing. I'll be checking out more

The pilot was decent. I agree that it felt like a popcorn movie. Also, yeah they shoehorned Katherine McPhee but they needed some eye candy and I'm not complaining.

it just struck me that lead genius in charge of the Scorpion team sounds a LOT like Robert Downey Jr...

so far, this show has been really enjoyable... hope it's got some good numbers...

Loving this show so far. Episode 4 was one of the strongest ones of the season so far. Next week Linda Hunt guest stars as her NCIS: LA character Hetty!

I'm impressed with his American accent.

So that's what happened to Eddie Kaye Thomas.

I didn't realize this show takes place in the same universe as NCIS.

That would also mean interconnection with Hawaii 5-0 since Kenzi made an appearance there a few seasons back.

now that's even MORE stranger that Scorpion might have a connection to 5-0... would Cabe know McGarrett somehow?

I'm sure they could work up a crazy multipart cross-over story to have everyone meet up and solve a crime/terrorist plot thing if they wanted to.

Wow no love for this show. I was just going to comment last night's episode felt like a budget saver(which is basically when a show saves on it's budget for future episodes). Probably the worst episode of the series

I've been watching it although not many people here seem to be.

I watch it. I like it even if it is a bit weak.

I watch it when I can. I've got too many other shows I'm watching right now.

Weird move by CBS moving this show to 10PM Monday nights. Doesn't really bother me much since this show is on my PVR viewing list so I generally don't watch it at 9PM Monday nights, but I think this will hurt the show's viewership
