CC vs Ads!

Is there a way to disable the autoplay on the Call of Duty ad at the top of the page? It's extremely jarring and annoying and leads into several other autoplay ads that I can't make shut eff up.

Okay the autoplay ads are getting insane now. I'm getting one that's a loud car alarm bleeting and the other is loud guitar music. I don't wanna have to install adblock because I don't want to harm SHH, but this is ridiculous.

I'm encountering them most often on the Avengers: Infinity War page (and related threads) as well as the Justice League ones. I've gotten autoplay ads for the new Call of Duty, the new LG TV, Walmart, and several other brands. They don't stop. Once one ad finishes, another begins.

Another stupid ad ruining this site. It took me 5 minutes to try and refresh and click reply quick enough before this engulfed my page.

Honestly I have no problem with ads, as long as they disappear after they've shown me there goods, or they give me an option to close. Heck I don't even mind having to click on the ad and go to the website. But this thing just ****ing sits there staring at me after I try.

Seems to have gone now. I normally refresh the screen and scramble to the hyperlink I want before it take's over the screen. Other wise I just abandon the site and got to Screenrant, Newsarama, or CBR.

All the links on the home page load the same as well. I've deleted cookies, tried a different browser (even my phone) and it always loads as above.

I don't even know what that means actually, but I'll look into it. I haven't made any changes to anything as far as my browser settings. And like I said, it's loaded like this on my laptop for work, my PC, my personal laptop, and phone too.

Good that I'm not the only one. I thought maybe the site was down at first, but then noticed it still had some article updates here and there. ComingSoon is the same as well.

So I'm on my laptop at work on our wifi here and it looks like it's working fine now on the home SHH page. When I get home I'll try again on my personal PC and see if it's still not loading correctly.

The text-only problem has been fixed. We are also looking at ads that redirect visitors on mobile. We hope to have that fixed soon.

I'm having a hell of a time with a full page ad for something called Kin as of an hour ago. Absolute pain. Can't open any page without it taking up the whole screen and not going away. Basically managed to trick it for a few seconds to make this post. Just me, or...?

Was happening to me too.

Stopped once I installed an ad blocker.

This post will be rough, because I'm typing blind thanks to the ad. The main forum page and all subforums are completely covered by the ad within two seconds of loading and won't go away. Same with the full reply screen (that I'm attempting to use now). Threads themselves-- posts are visible, but not the top of the forum with the SHH banner, user controls, page numbers or quick response buttons etc. Those are covered by the ad, which seems to be behind the posts themselves. Attempt at screenshots below. The first one is the main page (completeley covered), the second two are the tops and bottoms of a thread.
