What do you guys want? I personally didn't hate the CGI costume from 2011 but I can see why some people didn't like it.

CGI or no CGI for the Green Lanterns costume?

Well CGI clearly didn't work very well last time and that was a 200 million dollar movie, so no CGI this time. If they want to make the suit look more real since it's energy based and not fabric, they can still add some sparkle on it or whatever, but no full CGI this time. It just wouldn't work well.

Costume. it could have little CGI tho.

What John-An says. It could have a bit of CGI, like logo glowing green and so, but it should mostly be a physical costume.

And I'd prefer something quite uniform-like too.

The black parts of the suit will be practical an the green parts will have mild cgi enhancements

Like most have said, it should mostly be a physical costume with some CGI enhancements. I think that would be best for business. :D

combination of both practical and CGI would be the best way to go

a mix of the Tron Legacy suits would be ideal for Green Lantern i think

The CGI costume was a brilliant idea and I see no good reason why they could not do it again. If characters like Spider-Man, Iron Man, The Thing, and the Hulk could use CGI there Green Lanterns certainly can as well. It even made sense with the character since his suit is an energy construct.

Yeah, it made perfect sense in theory. But it looked terrible on screen. This time i think the right way to go is both CGI and a suit. They can have the costume sparkle more to give it the idea that it's energy based and not actual fabric. And if there is a mask again, let it not be CGI. That looked atrocious.

Granted that the design was pretty radical, but that had nothing to do with CGI. A tailored fabric made the same way would not have looked any better.Blame that on the design not CGI. I think we should be arguing the design of the costume and not CGI.

Both the design and the CGI looked bad. Whatever they decide to do, it should be better than this.

I like it to be practical, enhanced by CGI.

If Michael Wilkinson can only design physical costumes, then that's what they should do.

i think it'd be smart for GL's costume to light up when he's using his ring heavily, but when he's just chillin with the League, he shouldn't be lit up

I like this idea.

And I know I am going to get booed for this, but I really like Kyle Rayner's costume. It actually looked like the officer's uniform:

At least, I feel they should go with something similar if they give Jordan a domino mask. This one looks like it actually has some purpose and it's the only one I find would not look silly on screen.

If there's no need to use CG... don't use CG.
The practical costume could use some computer work as an enhancement, but I truly don't think it needs to be done in the computer.

Kyle's costume is probably my favorite GL costume.

Well, this was unexpected. :woot:
I always thought it to be disliked by Green Lantern fans.

And I vastly prefer it to the other, more green ones. There's just something about it that makes it more pleasing to the eye, I find.

No doubt, that's one hell of a costume. In fact, I was a bit disappointed when they brought Jordan back and gave him the same old costume. They should've updated him a bit. The domino mask and the white gloves is the classic look, but it's so over it. I think the new GL movie look should be like a mix of Rayner's mask, combined with Stewart's bracelet things(whatever they are called), more black than green, and Jordan's New 52 shoulder stripes.

I said this a while ago in I can't remember anymore which thread. Actually, I like all the propositions you made here.

Though I found this costume as well:

I like those lines, they make it look more like space uniform for some reason.
