I know her death want be unexpected but i want her to be killed of in a way that will make my heart cringe
I agree. We will probably see Rhino again in TASM3, as well as a new minor villain, perhaps Shocker.I don't think green goblin will be the only villain in ASM3, he already was the only villian in Raimis film and I think there would at least have to be a 2nd villain that hasn't been in a spidey movie yet, possibly mysterio, just to gain new interest
Yes, Webb's GG might actually have some motivation, or they'll at least TELL us his motivation.I agree. We will probably see Rhino again in TASM3, as well as a new minor villain, perhaps Shocker.
Though by the time TASM3 comes out, it would have been 14 years since the Goblin appeared on screen, and I think Webb's version will be almost entirely different, so it will still feel fresh.
If she dies in TASM 2, that might take me out of the film entirely. The best way to do the story to its full potential is in TASM 3 with GG as the main villain IMO.
Raimi's motivation was made clear in the beginning of the film, but once he got revenge from the board members, his story was pretty much concluded at that point.
What happens in 10 years when TASM is outdated?
But that's a case "adapting the comic arc as closely as possible" vs "making TASM 2 as memorable as it can be". Gwen's death in TASM 2 could be the thing that really lets it make a mark and be unforgettable as a MOVIE, as a self-contained movie that doesn't rely on the fact that it's part of a series, for once. As for whether TASM 3 can top that or not, that's exclusively TASM 3's problem. I say, enough of holding out until the sequels to do stuff.
Gwen's death can be the difference between "super bold and ambitious TASM sequel" and "Just yet another Spidey adventure with some cool scenes here and there". Because what's the point of waiting? Who's to say TASM 3 can't come up with something just as good? If they actually have a long-term story to tell, TELL IT. Don't use filler.
I don't think it can be better. It is hard to explain but I just don't see it. Spider-Man 2 is one of my favorite sequels.
This is also why I think that ASM will age at about the same rate as Raimi's first one. Some effects, while mostly good, look outdated even when it came out. Lizard is a huge CGI creature which in itself will make the movie look old quicker (TIH is another example of that). I also think, much like the first Raimi film, the sequel will overshadow the first.
Agreed with everything here.I kinda disagree with ya on this one. On one hand, yes, some CGI will end up feeling dated in a number of years especially with a large, fully generated creature like the Lizard. This is unavoidable. However, from the look and feel of ASM in terms of itself as a film, I'd say it will have more staying power vs SM1. Effects or not, SM1 feels extremely dated based on the look and feel or whatever--saw someone else say it represents something like a 'TV movie.' I'd have to agree with that observation. But then again, dated as it may be, I still enjoy the heck outta SM1.
I feel exactly the same. Maybe it has something to do with the technology that Oscorp uses?I felt a modern/futuristic vibe from TASM
