Chapter 24 - "Four Months Later" - Discussion Thread 9/24/07

Sounds like a good plot for....episode 1 :o

If you're trying to END the series, yeah... but if you want it to keep going, you hook the new story before you finish the old one...

Besides, I really don't want to know more about Peter and Nathan... they're hardly my favorites or anything, I don't think I'd like the show much if they were continually shoved down my throat...

Yeah.:csad:

It makes me sit through the sloppily constructed story arcs and mundane acting.:csad:

Well, guess you're the minority- always have to have it for some show or another. :cwink:

And btw, just wondering- what shows do you actually watch and not complain about...

I don't think any newcomers could've watched this episode and gotten into it.

I'll tell you what; they may not have understood the show but I bet they all wanna run out and buy a Nissan Rogue tomorrow. I know I do :o

Right, but that was a major event of the finale. It had to be tied up so it won't feel like shoving them down our throats.....yet.

Seriously, though:

The guy who killed Sulu?

Gay.

Sulu: "They are incredibly powerful. And they will come for me."

And they exercise that incredible power by tackling you off a building? **** that noise. Talk about wasted potential. Instead of hiding the guy's face(Uh, seen that. ), why don't we do something interesting, like give the guy some extraordinary power, leaving people seeing the number 23 everywhere or carving 'WTF?!' on their wrists!

But no, let's just tackle his ass off a building.

Lame.:cmad:

Was that Skylar that killed Sulu?

It's a damn shame, because no more back to back nights of the Original Star Trek. George Takei on Heroes and Shatner as Denny Crane on Boston Legal.

It was not Sylar.

Skylar is a ***** name for a guy

Um, because those ideas are lame?

Lmaol, I think I know what you're trying to see but worst examples in the history of worst examples. That guy wouldn't be a threat, he would be comic relief. "You will now see 23 forever now!" "Haha, wtf- wtf on your wrists fcker!"... um, what???

I hope I'm not the minority--because otherwise America is brain dead.

The thing that bothers me about Heroes is it has so much potential, and they seem to blow it half the time. In this case, they just ****ed the **** out of it.:down

Any opinions on the new characters?

It will be interesting to see what their powers are going to be.

If it wasn't Skylar who killed Sulu, then who was it?

I was being entirely sarcastic, ****-for-brains.

Matt is just not that interesting. His power is, him not so much. And the divorce just feels like an excuse to write out the actress that played his wife.

Failed to answer the questions of what shows you watch, and yes looking at ratings- you are minority. :cwink:

Hopefully he learns to abuse his powers and actually pry into people's minds, not just eavesdrop lol.

Greg Grunberg was so much better on Alias then he is on Heroes. Maybe he should have reunited with his buddy, JJ Abrams on Lost.

Matt irritates me and I hope he dies this season. Such a pushover

Are you still mad over Survivor? :csad: :cwink:

But yeah, I've never found the character that interesting either. I love how he acts all tough (wanting to hunt down Sylar last season for example) but ends up getting four bullets in the chest when he tries to do anything. He is saying he'll find the guy in Molly's dreams now. I can only imagine what he'll do to Matt :wow:

Anyway, in regards to Nathan, I think it is in character for him to run. Isn't that the point of the show? These "Heroes" do have fears and shortcomings and are real people? Besides, cut him some slack, there was probably a one in a million chance he would get out of there in time. His action was still heroic. Why not take that chance? His role was over. Why die unnecessarily? Especially when he has kids and a wife?

And- Abanddon, Collosul, just wondering who are your favorite heroes or characters...

Can say off the bat that I consider modern Hiro to be too much of a comic relief, I want bad ass Hiro.

And Mohinder is too science and explanation oriented.
