imo, there was just no spark to it. It had a going-through-the-motions feel.

No one knows if Hans Van Houten is even his real name. But that doesn't matter, the first time I ever heard that name uttered, it was from an Aussie doctor friend of mine with a penchant for opiates and ladies of the night. The fact I detected fear when my friend mentioned him, and Mal is not a man who scares easily mind you, told me all I needed to know.
