Black Narcissus:

I literally didn't mean to call you an idiot. I was referring to who I thought was a non-existent entity who would think that about my avatar. The whole Jared Leto thing makes more sense after I saw that gif, and my opinion has changed. I thought you were joking.

K. Hope we're cool.

Hmm... This time I guess it's a bit of a tie.

Ronda even predicted her knockout on Fallon a month ago lol... "her lip was cut in half, thats why shes not doing the post fight conference"

Conventions of these kind are license to be a dorky goofball for a few hours.
They're not my thing.
Why not? lol not all of them were cosplay, many were gaming, whether it was board games or Link lol

I remember that.

I remember that.

'she's going to try and kick me in the head to knock me out and i am not going to let that happen.'

I know a lot of people don't like sports here, and honestly, I'm not a big UFC fan or anything... but after seeing all the hype about Rousey and the commercials, movies etc etc... then seeing her get completely embarrassed... was pretty goddamn funny.

I don't watch it, but I know many people who DO. Bettin' they weren't happy either lol I saw a couple guys on FB having a laugh at it tho.
Thing is, she KNEW how it was going to go down, tells me she she should have practiced stopping that more than talking about it

Carte Blanche was written by Jeffery Deaver, and Nobody Lives Forever by John Gardner.

Thanks I knew they were Bond titles but wasn't sure if they were Bond titles from different writers.

Pretty soon they'll have to start using those titles though as Fleming's would be used up. :funny:

I suppose if you wanted to come out to your family, tell them you're going to cosplay as a queen chess piece and let them figure it out. :o

Why is it that the English call that piece the Queen?
And we call it the Vizier?

You'd think the design would at least look different.

Well, I'll tell you a simple example. French Fries are made out of potatoes & maintain the same, basic, design, worldwide, & yet are called differently.

Chips.

The ones I eat here are 40% (or less) potatoes, the rest is starch.

Not necessarily. None of the following titles came from Fleming or any other author:

Licence to Kill
GoldenEye
Tomorrow Never Dies
The World Is Not Enough
Die Another Day
Skyfall
Spectre

"Goldeneye" is the nickname of Bond creator Ian Fleming's beachfront house in Jamaica where, between 1952 and 1964, he wrote the Bond novels and short stories. It was named for the contingency plan that the SIS, whose members included Fleming himself, devised in the event of a Nazi invasion of Spain.

The World Is Not Enough is on the Bond family crest

Skyfall Is the name of Bond's home

Spectre Is the criminal organization in the early Bond films.

So, in a sense, Fleming did have a small role in them.

In a sense, yes, but I'm talking in an absolute sense. None of those are actually titles of pre-existing stories.

And I don't believe Fleming actually named Bond's childhood home Skyfall.

Whoa.

It seems like Charlie Sheen will reveal that he has HIV.

I have always had a soft spot for Charlie the actor. He could have been known as one of the great actors of his generation, he just decided to walk a different path. But the man had the acting chops to do so.

Oh lord. That dude has been in every body.

LOL. I was just going to post this story, but you beat me to it, Sammy.

Anyway, it seemed inevitable with the life style he had with numerous women & abuse of drugs, I wish him well & long life.

I had a dream that I watched The Force Awakens in a seedy carnival booth out in the middle of nowhere. I watched maybe two minutes with the rest of the movie being compressed... all I can say was that this version was incredibly dull.

I thought I was the only one who dreamed about movies they were looking forward to. The last ones I remember dreaming about were Batman Begins and Casino Royale.
