I'm watching Octopussy right now, & it's an alright Bond movie, but I believe it could have been extremely better. I truly believe Moore should've hanged his Bond credentials after For Your Eyes Only & allowed Dalton to have taken over the role.

I really wish either WB or Marvel would take a shot at 45min long episodic animated fair. 12 episodes, cover a couple of arcs and subplots. At least do it to keep some franchises in the spotlight between films.

I remember when I first heard rumblings of them doing something animated with Planet Hulk, I thought something like that could work as like a 10 part OVA series, like Hellsing Ultimate, covering the various arcs that Greg Pak did. But alas they stuck with a single, heavily abridged version for the film.

As part of Disney they have access to great animators and the outlets to showcase such shows on. I really wish either WB or Marvel would take a shot at 45min long episodic animated fair. 12 episodes, cover a couple of arcs and subplots. At least do it to keep some franchises in the spotlight between films.

Now that you mention that, I think the 90s Hulk show could really benefit from having such a treatment instead of what we had.
The pacing of episodes make them feel like 40+ minutes compressed.

As for why he stayed on for Octopussy, part of it had to do with Sean Connery doing his own version Never Say Never Again which was effectively the first step in Kevin McClory's attempt and creating his own Bond franchise to rival EONs. Roger was ready to leave, but he decided along with the various parties involved that a tried and tested Bond like him would do better against the rival Sean Connery picture.

In the end they were right to do so, as Octopussy outperformed the other film and effectively stopped McClory's plans dead in their tracks.
