I had a home-printed poster of these photos on my wall.

Sex appeal and beauty... I don't know... I think Marilyn is a textbook case about how one doesn't equal the other always. She's more about igniting that sexual hunger more than "looks" per se to me.

Actually... Yeah, reviewing Predator, Die Hard and Hunt For Red October would be a good thing to do.

Do all your reviews in a Sean Connery voice though

LOL indeed. Something tells me many members of old Hollywood would have made for very entertaining reality show "characters."

For sure. Thing is, back in the day the studios themselves were heavily involved with managing the stars public personas. That meant not only building them up with glowing PR but also handling things that could get them into trouble given the times. Obviously the bigger the star the more likely you were to have things swept under the rug, from the more mundane foibles to the down right scary habits and everything in between. Now a days the stars themselves are in charge of their PR in many ways. If there had been facebook and twitter back in the day I am betting some Hollywood royalty from then would be looked at in a different light.

I'd like a name change to James Bond actually, but some guy signed up with that name in 2002, hung around for a week and made around 100 posts, and hasn't been back since. What a waste of a cool name.

Even Last Action Hero and Basic for variety's sake.

And something tells me you'd fight right in with them:

Oh yeah, some of the stars of today would probably much better off if Eddie Mannix was still around, lol.

Rock Hudson's people arranged a marriage for him so the public wouldn't find out he was gay.

My take has always been that these younger breeds should take a cue from old Han Solo's book and take that first big payout and move the family out to someplace like Jackson Hole Wy. Do your work, make your money and lessen the chances of becoming a object to be looked and have people whisper, "They didn't handle the fame and fortune very well."

It's like... You don't HAVE to go out to the opening of the latest overrated night club EVERY NIGHT. Have a drug and alcohol problem? Maybe live someplace other than NYC or LA. Raise the kids away from the limelight.

You could adopt infants with similar genetics as the original actors, then raise/condition them to become the replacements.

But that'd be unethical.
