Cocks sounds like how I imagined DD to sound. Eloquent, intelligent, impartial... even to his enemies. Not like Nolan's animalistic Batman.

He's very gentleman-like. Not naive like Captain America, not sarcastic like RDJ. I think that's what separates him from the other MCu heroes.

Edit: Also, I actually quite liked the kid who was playing the younger Matt. Usually I don't find child actors to be very convincing.

Yeah, Cox is nailing it. He's just been flat-out amazing. Easily one of the best performances in any comic book adaptation. I like that we actually see him get legitimately hurt. I know we've seen Batman get roughed up a bit but other than in TDKR, he usually comes off invincible. Matt actually seems to be a guy who is capable of biting off more than he can chew and paying the price for it.

RDJ just basically plays RDJ, he's just lucky his personality fits the MCU version of Stark.

Fair, but RDJ's own thing was so great that it altered every other interpretation of Stark. Anyway, yeah, Cox IS Murdock in a way few others have perfectly captured comic characters. Marvel has been pretty spectacular with their casting, but Cox is up there with Chris Reeve as Superman in my opinion.
