Daredevil Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock/Daredevil

You know one of the things I liked about Cox?

He knew how to keep his eyes when he was not wearing his mask/glasses. While Affleck went all derp eyes with his Daredevil

I watched the '03 movie again this weekend and this was an issue. He did it many times, but it was most noticeable after the final fight versus KP, Matt gives a speech and does so cross eyed.......

Cox is really matt; especially in the flashbacks with foggy.

He was great really. After RDJ as Iron Man, second my favorite portrait is Charlie as Daredevil in Marvel Universe

I love Charlie's performance in this. I think my favorite part of it all is his accent, i neve once could tell he was English.

While Charlie Cox is fantastic in the role, I knew he was British within about 5 minutes of him on screen. Very few actors can fool me with accents, and unfortunately he's not one of them.

Part of the reason I am not too happy with the red suit. He looked jacked in the black outfit. All the muscle definition got lost when he upgraded the suit.

This. This is when sometimes I wish movie/TV adaptations would not be a complete play by play of the comics. Batman looks so much better with the all black suit compared to whatever he had going on during the "BAM" and SLAM" days, and I definitely think the urban black outfit looks way better. Maybe it will get caught in a meat grinder in the second season and he can go back to the black outfit, or something similar.

I just want a more comics accurate costume. Basically the classic comics look translated to live actoon

For me I think, at least for now, some of the more slightly negative aspects about the red suit can be somewhat forgiven/I'm willing to overlook. It is, essentially, a prototype and Melvin even told DD that it hadn't completed 'the process' yet. It wouldn't surprise me if it continues to evolve as Matt has tweaks and alterations made and what not as he himself learns what works about it and what doesn't.

Just my personal take on it (though I do agree with others that him in the complete black is so far the better look)

He was so good, he just nailed both halves of the character so perfectly, I really hope he gets a chance to appear in a movie.

Cox is amazing. He never once failed to deliver, and became one of my absolute favorite protagonists in the genre by the end of the season.

For me, it's not so much the suit, but the helmet looking mask. With the black cloth, I liked it because it seemed more menacing, and it also showed off Cox's jaw line and chin more, but with the new mask, it looks stupid, and hides too much of the lower sides of his face. And the horns are a bit too much. Maybe they could keeps the costume part, nut maybe give him back the full bandana, in red this time. That might work.

I say no to bringing back the bandana. Just make improvements to the helmet/mask.

I think he looks fine and plenty of others would agree. If you think he looks like an idiot...well, sorry for ya.

He doesn't look like an idiot. He looks like Daredevil.

The uniform means nothing Charlie Cox is so Matt Murdock/Daredevil he could be dressed up as spider-man or Iron Man and he would still be Daredevil/Matt Murdock

Unfortunately, I've seen massive complaints from other online forums and in the real world that the mask isn't working for them. Only place that people like it is here on the SHH, where we got people having their panties in a bunch about Captain America taking his cowl off, when the rest of the world could care less, or prefer it. Only fanboys, smh. Doesn't matter, I have a feeling they are going to be changing the suit/mask anyway, because like it or not, many people were not feeling it compared to the black suit.

I retract my statement about it being just the SHH that likes the suit. I just looked through the THe Costume thread, and many, many people have had the same issues I did. The mask as is, isn't working. Either it's the nose part or the collar part. SOmething isn't jiving, and many of us noticed this. Also, many also agreed that the black ninja outfit is more badass than the new suit. They are definitely going to change it to something everyone will like, kind of like how Captain America had gone through several costume changes, (and funny enough, in TWS, he went back to his original suit in the end, HA! One can hope, right? But yeah, I'd be happy with the bandana in red. Don't know why, but I just loved the tales flying around when he was fighting.

But, no more of this. Lets talk about Charlie Cox as Murdock/Daredevil. The dude pretty much shot all the way to number 2 of my most favorite MCU adaptation, right behind Chris Evans as Steve Rogers/Cap. It's going to be quite the wait, for the second season. So far away at the moment.

Charlie was fantastic as Matt/DD. As I was watching it felt like Evans becoming Cap, RDJ becoming Tony and Chris becoming Thor. Not sure I can see anyone else as Matt/DD, hopefully they don't do like DC and have someone else portray Daredevil whenever the character gets introduced in the films.

Loved the suit, will get even better next season seeing how it was essentially a prototype. Don't think he was ever called Daredevil so I imagine he'll take up the name and add the DD since we saw the name in the end.

I hear he was confirmed to appear in Marvel Movies. Hopefully Civil War and/or Infinity War.

Why would they? The reason WB/DC are doing so is because they wanna keep the tv-universe(s) and movie-universe separate from each other. That's not the case with Marvel.

Where did you hear this?

I was a big fan of Charlie before this. Stardust and Boardwalk being two of my favorite things. But my love for him went to another level with this. I adore him here, and he is downright perfect in the role. Hopefully he will play Matt for many a year to come. :yay:
