Daredevil Charlie Cox is Matt Murdock/Daredevil

charlie Cox is indeed Matt Murdock/Daredevil, what an awesome performance!

Here's an interview of Charlie Cox while wearing red round shades. Cool guy. :yay:

Probably one of my fave heroes in the MCU. Cox was fantastically perfect.

Going back to the Murdock casting thread. I realize 95% of the time fans are horrible at casting. Glad Marvel chose who they felt right.

Fan casting puts far too much importance on hair color and previous genre work.

Who was fan-cast outside of Michael C Hall?

I don't think anybody had a problem when Charlie was announced.

I wish his hair was redder, but I never had a problem with him. He also didn't look like a Foggy (it also doesn't make sense for Foggy to be younger than Matt anyway).

Don't even notice. I can't imagine anyone else as Matt now. It's almost impossible. The show made me forget the movie completely. Cox is perfect on this re watch.

The wife and I were watching "Stardust" the other day and I totally forgot Charlie Cox was in it! He did a good job.

Yeah, he's nothing like Matt Murdock in Stardust. Really good actor.

He's a great actor and a great Matt Murdock/Daredevil!

I'm surprised he hasn't gotten more good roles, as I really am a fan of him in what little I've seen of him. I mostly just know him from this show, being the hero in Stardust, and getting stuffed in a box in Boardwalk Empire.

I always wondered how tough it was to not focus his eyes while portraying Daredevil, but I'd never thought being so good at it would cost him from landing another big role

It's a funny story for sure, but whoever wrote that article is a liar. Not even Charlie himself is certain of what role and movie he went to audition for.
Even so, I'm trying to imagine him as Han Solo, could have been fun :oldrazz:

Also, that play of his sounds really interesting. I would love to see it.

I remember reading a interview with Cox where he said because Stardust didn't do so well in U.S., it didn't really open any new doors for him. But he's been showing up in TV shows and movies here and there, and after Daredevil, he really wanted to go back to theatre for a while. I do think he's quite an underrated actor though.

How So? Charlie said himself he was pretty sure it was for Han

"I had gone to an audition — one of those things that are super secretive and they don’t tell you, but I’m pretty sure it was for the Han Solo reboot"

They're just reporting what he said. I'm certain there's enough in the test lines his was given that would highly suggest Han Solo.

He doesn't even say he thinks he read for the Han part, just that the believes it was for the Han Solo movie. It could have been any other part in that movie. He might have figured it out through the lines though as you say but he doesn't mention that in the original interview from which this article is based on.
I guess it doesn't matter though.

Charlie Cox would have gotten me legitimately excited for the Han spinoff. I love Han Solo as much as anyone, but that role is almost worthless without Harrison Ford.

I just watched The Theory of Everything, and as I always do with movies I enjoy, I check out the IMDB page...Tripped me out that it was him in that movie. Daredevil is my favorite Netflix show right now, its remarkable that I didn't even catch that he played Jonathan. Dude can really act.

Honestly, I'm kind of glad he's not playing young Han Solo.

I think Stardust is the reason he didn't get more movie roles. I recall him saying in a podcast interview that he did Stardust but he didn't get cast in anything after that for a while.
