IMO, the perfect way to bring out Susan's compassion is to refocus her energies on her family--especially Johnny (the first film showcased very little sisterly love there for him or vise versa--all that was written was arguments and catfights). If the writers are savvy enough, they'll find that there are ample opportunities for her to show more compassion to her brother and be a true protective Lioness in regards to him. And then of course, she has the love of her life, Reed.
That's why I'm annoyed at the notion that she's also involved with the Surfer. As if she's not already in the smack-dab center of all the other plotlines. To me, this is little more than a retread of the 2005 movie--with her 3-way with Doom and Reed. It reeks of Hollywoodism and it's unneccesary. There is enough untapped potential for Sue to channel her focus on without also having to get in the mix with Norrin.
Let someone else--preferably someone who has been seriously underused--have a chance to shine. Like um...Alicia...![]()
I completely agree.
Sure, the FF is about family...but that quickly grew to include "extended family" as well.
Alicia, Willie Lumpkin, Crystal, Wyatt Wingfoot, Agatha Harkness, etc.,
It's a shame to introduce Alicia in the movies, then to not only hardly use her, but give her defining moment away to another character, imo.
