Hahaha! YES! Buscemi, thanks. :D I just love how you scroll through that list of fairly handsome gentleman and then bam! You get hit with the Buscemi.

I would say Adrien Brody. Though I like the Sharlto Copely suggestion. I think Billy Crudup would be good as well.

I would like to have the following possibilities added to the polls, but I am not sure how.

No new Banner / Hulk Only
Joaquin Phoenix
Colin Hanks
Adrien Brody
Guy Pearce
Matthew Fox
Jason Patric
Steve Buscemi

I requested the creator of the poll "OptimusPrime114" to do it, and he responded that he did not know how to do it. Unfortunately, I am still new myself and I am not sure how or if it can be done. Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thanks!

Even though norton is the obvious choice since he has the right skill set, lets see how Marvel takes the news and see if they made a mistake and recast him.... one can pray of course !

But looking at all those faces id say Adrien Brody looks the part imagine him in a white scientist cloak, hes geeky and akward/nerdy and looks the part perfectly, while Norton was similar but just a bit more cooler ;)

Perhaps this is Marvels attempt at cashing in on the Spiderman PR lately, its like if your announcing a new face to be your new baby and starting fresh why not, the only issue we have here is canon and the new face of hulk carrying on from Nortons work and his hulk.....its gonna work but yeah nearly everyones gonna scratch there head and say wheres that norton chap gone... this could be crap but lets carry on.

You can PM one of the mods, they might be able to do it for you. Failing that, I think you'd have to start a new thread/poll.

Whoever it is needs the one element Bixby had that not even Norton did, which is the ability to convey underlying intensity.

Norton was great, probably the best overall in terms of looking the part physically, and coming off like an intelligent scientist, but Bill Bixby had a look in his eyes that made you believe he might possibly turn into some kind of monster if you pissed him off enough. A lot of that is because Bill was a very tense, conflicted person in real life. Nonetheless, when he showed up in Elaina Marks apartment after that first Hulk-out, he made me believe that almost really happened lol, they need to find someone who can portray that with charm, quite the balancing act...

Edward Norton is Bruce Banner!!

However, if I had to cast anyone else in that role that wouldn't want half of the budget I would go with Adrien Brody.

He has that nervous vibe going and he also looks weak and frail, Splice, although he can pull off a powerful presence as seen in Predators.

If he was the next Banner I might forgive Marvel.

It looks like it's going to be Joaquin Phoenix, but he's too big. Banner should be puny. Joaquin looks like he can handle himself in a fight, same thing with Eric Banna.

phoenix is just a rumor, like hutcherson being spiderman.

How about, instead of casting for Banner, Marvel cast Lou Ferrigno as the Hulk? They could enhance him with CGI and boost his height, but at least we'd have a real person that the other actors could interact with this time instead of a computer animation. I think this would be particularly important in a movie like the Avengers. Hulk needs to look more realistic (which he didn't in TIH or even Ang Lee's Hulk). Also, I think that would be the only acceptable thing (short of bringing Bill Bixby back from the grave via computer magic) that could appease the angry mob on Saturday at SDCC if Feige announces a new Banner actor in place of Norton.

Then who will most likely be the Andrew Garfield of this situation?
I wish I could answer that question, but we need a short list of actors. I highly doubt marvel would jump on such an awkward choice like phoenix, who hasnt demonstrated Bruce banner like qualities, Imo.

I wonder if one of the Whedon elite will take up the role of the Hulk? Maybe Alan Tudyk? Even though he's my favourite choice for Bilbo Baggins I can still see him in the role.

this. I like Phoenix, but banner, he is not. IMO.

I like Peter Krause myself.

But, I am still hoping that this might turn into a Samuel L. Jackson-type of deal. We kept hearing that he wouldn't return as Nick Fury, and then ended up signing a nine-movie deal, and mostly because of fan support. Perhaps Fiege will learn his ways and beg Norton to come back due to fan support.

Only time will tell though if I'm right.

You don't have his name in the poll, but the rumor according to what I saw on E! entertainment news, is that the role might go to Joaquin Phoenix. Maybe the Hulk will go crazy, grow a beard, put on sun shades and try to rap.

I wouldn't mind having an actor portray the Hulk just because of cost problems and if we have to have the monster in a lot of scenes, it would be better for him to be flesh and blood to interact with the other actors. I would get Korgan(guy from 300/Sherlock Holmes) instead of Feringo for Hulk, though.

lol at the choices, I'm surprised no one put Guy Pierce, Jim Caveizel, and more actors from Buffy and Lost.
