The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Chris Cooper IS Norman Osborn

Well, you have to think IN universe. GG looks a bit better for the universe if he is a hybrid of both. Maybe green body armor, with a purple overcoat. A green helmet like the Power Ranger, but with an open, batman style mouth, and no horn.

Eh, no more stupid body armor. No more stupid 'power ranger' crap. And for christsakes, give me the evil, twisted, psychotic, menacing threat of a GG that I know and love.

Well, surely we can agree that a little body armor can't hurt. I mean, we don't want him in a Halloween costume... do we? I mean body armor more like batman. Not like the SM1 gg

The only way the costume is justified is if he is certifiably nuts and just does it for kicks.

Yeah, while I don't think another Power Ranger GG is a good idea, but I do think it has to be some type of body armour or protective suit. It can't just be a Halloween suit that's a straight up representation of the 616 evil Smurf. It definitely needs to be adapted better.

Though I don't want to see something as lazy as the Ultimate Spider-man cartoon's design of a suit. As though Hulk-Goblin wasn't a bad enough design and a different character to boot. It looks like someone armoured a wet suit.

That's the angle I'm pushing for. Even if they went for a less-hulking transformation like the image I posted, he could still pull off the hat/outfit by virtue of being a cackling loon.

What kind of armor would you guys want to see? If they do go down that route.

People will probably hate this, but here is what I would LOVE to see. An armored Goblin in a dark cloak, with an open mouth open eyed mask, to allow for maximum expression.

I remember back around the time before the first Spider-Man movie when this Alex Ross artwork was being shown a lot. It's got a very medieval twist to it, but the overall flavor is something that I think could work (glider excluded):

Mask, yes. Costume, not so much. I'm not a fan of the ragged and stitched tights.

I honestly don't see them doing Hulk-Goblin since we've already seen so many big hulking CGI green things on screen before (they even did it in this series with Lizard and I doubt they'd want anyone confusing the series' archnemesis as Lizard from far away.).

For me Goblin NEEDS the hat/hood and the ears. While I love the satchel/purse I wouldn't go crazy if they opted out of using it. But he's just not even goblin-y without the ears and the hood. Also I always imagine GG's nose being almost as long as his chin so his profile is almost like a crescent moon caricature.

I don't understand the aversion to armor. Would you rather it be an old man in green spandex with a purple or pink coat, and a rubber mask? Is it just because it isn't 616 perfect? This isn't 616 it is the webboverse and really has no connection to the Spiderman comics other than them being a loose source.

You know what might also be neat? A Goblin that DOES wear a halloween mask. A tattered, nasty rubber mask, think like Michael Myers, but with a green monster mask, and some Kevlar body armor sloppily painted green and purple while he was out of his mind on serum.

Like a gritty goblin that looks like a psychopath in a rubber mask.

So Gobby is going from a Power Rangers reject to a Kamen Rider reject.

An alternative would be to have Goblin appear similar to how Blonsky did TIH after taking the super soldier formula. His body and frame we're regular but you could see his muscles and bones bulging under his skin, giving him a very creature-esque look that worked with the enhanced abilities he displayed (which are similar to what Goblin has).

Both routes would work for a transformation angle.
This would be great!

I actually really like the idea of the mask looking like gross, rotten rubber like the Myers mask.
Just,A tight fitting mask..like the one below.
Not a loose/over sized Halloween mask.

Something like this.

Easy to put on.
Moves with his face.

I think that the tight halloween mask would work, if it had an open mouth design. We want the goblin to be expressive, and able to pull some mean faces, and if there will be a mask, it should leave his mouth fully exposed.

Slightly animatronic mask may work in lieu of CG.

I dont want any masks or armour. If they are going to make it different to Raimi's Goblin they are going to make him transform facially in some way.
