The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Chris Cooper IS Norman Osborn

I want Ultimate Green Goblin. That would be awesome, though it differs from the traditional version... I also want from Harry to become the Hobgoblin, but not in this movie.

I fully expect a less bulky version of Green Goblin from USM the cartoon:

In that series, he's essentially 616 Goblin, but with the size of USM goblin. He retains his intelligence while in his hulkish form and he still has all of his traditional weapons (Glider, variety of pumpkin bombs, electric gauntlets/gloves).

I very much expect we'll get this, just with a size inbetween his 616 incarnation and this.

Muscular but not hulk proportions.

Ugh...a Green Goblin that isn't impish or scrawny looking just isn't GG. He becomes more ogre-y than Goblin-y...

I would actually love to see this. This GG is the only good thing in the show.

I think we're going to get a hybrid. He'll transform into a Goblin rather than wearing a mask but he'll have full control over his abilities (beyond being crazy) because he perfected the algorithm and his DNA map is like Peter's. It won't be a big green Hulk-like monster but a human sized green man, maybe with horns.

Sounds good to me.

I'd like this. I've been saying this for a while.

Something I think they could do is pull a CA:TFA and have Cooper have a body double when he becomes muscular after his transformation. They could put some make up on Cooper to make him look a bit younger as well.

Something just crossed my mind... What if we see Chris Cooper in black and green military face paint, and in purple or black rags resembling his classic suit. This certainly fits in universe, as it is believable.

I disagree. That sounds lazy and awful.

Military camo on his face? Respectfully speaking, what made you think of that? And in your opinion, how is that a good idea?

This doesn't sound too good and it really doesn't fit this universe.

With what we've seen, I think we'll be getting an amalgamation of 616 and USM Green Goblins. Whether that amalgamation skews more towards USM (like USM the cartoon's amalgamated version) or 616 is the question.

I never said it was a good idea, but I Don't think the goblin will be a transformation, as the last thing Sony wants is movie goers confusing the Lizard with their new marketable villain.

I also think it is unlikely we will see a mask, because Webb and co seem to want to please fans, as we have seen in the corrections made since the original trilogy. And he may want something extremely different than the DaFoe goblin. The closest thing to 616 Goblin is grease paint, and I wouldn't be too surprised if we get a messy, Joker-esque Goblin that has a striking resemblance to the Goblin from the comics.

Since when are these movies set in the Nolanverse?
Believable?
The first movie had a giant Lizard man.

Green Goblin should not be bulky, most incarnations look tall and have athletic build not a bodybuilder build.

I think we'll get a chimera-esque Goblin with different animal features that, together, look goblinish. Especially if Electro's origin turns out to be true.

I want more traditional Green Goblin this time. The original costume could look funny but I think they could make it work somehow. This costume could also be great:

No, the closest thing is actually doing some sort of mask. There's nothing really stopping them from doing some sort of mask. Grease paint is just a some random idea which would just look silly in reality.

Just found this GG redesign on deviant art.
I think it actually looks quite nice.

Meh. It's a nice try, but too many things are just a bit off for me.

I does look rather nice, particularly the suit. However' I don't think that mask would go over well. Despite its design allowing for more of the actor to show through, its just to similar to the Raimi mask. It almost looks like the Raimi mask sliced in half.
Yeah,
The suit is my favorite part.

And I agree with the bit about the mask.
But I think the design would need some sort of coned mask/helmet.
Just to have sort of the same look as the hat that he wears in the comics.
Unless they could actually make the sock hood look good on film..that would be great.
I'm just having a hard time imagining it.

Something like the suit in the picture that I posted,Coupled with a serum induced physical transformation(Pointed ears, yellowed eyes,Sharp teeth, and grotesque/goblin like posture) and some type of helmet(That doesn't cover the actors mouth) would be perfect IMO

*shrug*
