The Amazing Spider-Man 2 Chris Cooper IS Norman Osborn

It's actually a combed back short curly hair.

i'm disappointed in the holo images lack of Osborn hair.
idk about that...
tho, you would think that the CEO of a big company would at least comb his hair, when posing for a picture or holo image

but, when your rich you can afford to be eccentric

Richard Branson springs to mind.

So there IS someone with that haircut in real life??

Wow!

...yeah that's terrible!

To think that that's what Peter and his universe has to look at the whole time...

Hopefully we get some soon. Ready to see Chris Cooper on set as Norman.

He really has to blow me away, concerning looks he is not right for Norman at all

No on-set pics yet though. :/

So the Shailene Woodley thread is comprised of page upon page of fanboys complaining she's not hot enough to play MJ and posting comparison pics, but in this thread, not a single peep about how Cooper looks far too old and isn't ripped with six pack abs like Norman from the comic book. Certainly what's good for the goose is good for the gander. Ridiculous Fanboy double standard shows they have no idea what they're talking about.

Since Norman's supposed to be dying since Peter was orphaned and depends on intermediaries to push around his employees, does anybody else think Cooper might be confined to a hospital room for a large portion of the film. You could lay up the idea of Osborn being this grotesque old man on oxygen with limited mobility, emancipated to an unholy degree and lurching around giving orders in an increasingly desperate manner as he starts to slide from this world.

Having a sick father should really impact Harry's character. It would help to portray his reasons for being irrationally loyal to a monster as his father. And if Harry doesn't know why his father's sick it would play up Norman's deceitful nature.

He's too old for Norman. :o

I for one, think he is a great choice. But I would rather Steve Carell. Let the laughing at me commence.

Let me clarify a bit. Steve Carell has a business man look. He looks slick. You are all just too used to him being a comedian.

I think given the chance, he could be an intimidating younger Norman. He is dark, thin, and slick.

Also, he is young, he has a manic power, and I think he could be a wise cracking evil trickster type Goblin. I think he has the range.
I don't think it would be much of a stretch to put him in this light

Maybe that is just me. He was my first choice for Norman and the Goblin in this series, but that was just wishful thinking. Cooper is great too, but not in the same ways and certainly not for the same reasons.

Carell is as absurd an idea as Keaton was for Bruce/Batman. You never know.
