Documentary/Biopic Chris Hemsworth is Hulk Hogan, brother!

Yeah if he's involved I would be surprised if there's anything that makes him look too too bad.
Same thing they did with NWA in Straight Outta Compton and to a lesser extent Michael Jordan with The Last Dance. Which while I still really enjoyed those, they were still very sanitized

Who will cameo as Sylvester Stallone?

It’s crazy to me he was only 29 when he was in Rocky III! Did people just look 40 in their 20s back then?

As said already, I hope they don’t make this a glossy “fun” pic. It’s apparent now that Hulk is really a racist POS and that shouldn’t be shied away from.
Unlikely and I'm not trusting that Hemsworth could handle material like that anyway.

Really why?
Hemsworth has played depressed, charismatic, womanizing, sociopathic/psychopathic, borderline suicidal...I'm sure playing a racist is fine if you can do drama and you can pull of playing an Norse god/alien which Hemsworth can and has done

I can see him pulling it off no problem

Could be he was a sweet tooth. I looked 40 when I was 27, cutting back sugar consumption helped refresh my look significantly.

A lot of people looked older than they actually were back then. Practically everyone smoked and Botox wasn't a thing yet. Hulk Hogan was born looking like a 50 year old.

How about this idea:

Beef up Oscar Isaac some, give him some hair extensions and you got Randy Savage for this film.

Hemsworth is much too good looking to play Hogan.

Hey man, I get it. If they ever make a ipic of my boring ass life, they better get someone sexy.

Imagine getting a biopic and having the person playing you look worse

Most people playing real people are way better-looking than the actual person.

Philippe Petit is a fugly dude, who got played in The Walk by Joseph Gordon-Levitt.

Margot Robbie and Sebastian Stan played Tonya Harding and Jeff Gilooly (with their own good looks downplayed, but still better-looking than the real people).

Good points. I would have liked Hogan to be played by an ugly guy and real life ******* to reflect the reality better. Trump could have played him!

Eh, it's Hollywood. There's a whole laundry list of actors in biopics who are much better looking than the people they're portraying in real life. Margot Robbie as Tonya Harding, Johnny Depp as John Dillinger, Leo DiCaprio as J. Edgar Hoover, Reese Witherspoon as June Carter, Chadwick Boseman as Thurgood Marshall, etc.

Margot wouldn’t be a bad choice as his wife either for this.

I've never really been convinced when he's played those roles. The all seem to be various versions of his Thor portrayal. Hemsworth playing a scumbag racist would look like Calvin Candie, who is a joke, but a dangerous one, which is not the type that would work for a movie like this.

I don't know, I thought Hemsworth was surprisingly effective turning his charisma and sexiness to the dark side as a charismatic Manson-esque cult leader in Bad Times at the El Royale.

Yeah I have to hard diagree that he was just playing various versions of his Thor portrayal. Hard disagree

Other than being played by the same actor, I really can't see how anyone can say whatshisface from Bad Times at El Royale, James Hunt, his character from Extraction, or Thor are anywhere close to the same thing or even on the same spectrum. Different mannerisms, different personalities, etc.

But to each their own

Mustaches without other facial hair make anybody look like a dad.

To say that Hemsworth just plays a variation of Thor in every other role insinuates that Thor is a one note character in the MCU, which simply isn't true.

It’s that hard line in a biopic to portray their demons until the audience isn’t on their side anymore, especially if they’re the “heroes”.

It’s on one end to do a Wolf of Wall Street kind of film where the lead protagonist isn’t necessarily the “hero” and all their demons are out there no apologies.

Then it’s another with a biopic where you’re specifically seeing it because the person became famous for having an extraordinary talent that you admire.

Get On Up skates the issue of James Brown beating his wife by having him look directly into the camera afterwards, ashamed. Whether that’s a cop out or not is up for debate.
