After seeing a few comic images I too am a bit impatiently awaiting any official costume images of Malekith.

Which is what they MAY do. I guess I would be okay with. As long as it is multicolored.

Though Im with you, I'd much prefer it to be black and blue. Honestly,who cares if it looks silly...that's what malekith looks like, its his most dominant physical characteristic, and truely is a must. There is no way his face will be one solid color, no way. Not a chance.

I don't think half his face will be black though. Shades of racist pantomiming might be decried by the NAACP or other African American rights groups. Now if they were to go with an ashen gray, similar to the look of the Dark Elves in Skyrim that might not be an issue.

I strongly, strongly doubt anyone will get their panties in a knot over Malekith's typical war paint. It's *half* black, half blue....doesn't even remotely suggest Al Jolson blackface. It's very typical of the kind of warpaint you see in Braveheart and Skyrim, and nobody *****ed about those.

there's no way NAACP would do anything. Like Sam said it's just war paint over possiblly blue skin.

Who knows, MAYBE the Dark half of Malekith is Dark Matter/Energy?

Yes. Honestly, I would be totally okay with concept art (surprised we haven't gotten any yet), may not be set pics, but it could atleast give us an idea

You'd be amazed at what seemingly insignificant thing can set people off in this great wide world my friend. >_<
