Very mundane looking, clearly didn't want to go with the glam rock 80s look.

Hey and they put the dark part on the wrong side! (LOL) How come nobody is complaining about that?!

I think they all look COOL! I like it! I think the eyes will have some CGI, possibly for all of them. And they look scary! WHich is what is needed for a film called "The Dark World" . The glam rock look wouldnt have done it

I'm just thinking due to the black on their eye holes there, that they may add something in for them all later so they all look the same. but we'll have to wait and see.

Like Lady Gaga's big "Bad Romance" eyes? LOL!

Malekith and his Dark Elves* look terrific. Their design is much better than the comics version, more menacing and, well, dark. Even under the makeup, Eccleston's distinctive features are evident. The Melekith kit seems to include a blond ponytail like the other elves, which should mollify those lamenting that he lacks the hair-band locks of the comics version. Now I'm anxious to see what the finished images will look like, once the CGI has been added.

"Jazz him up?" Quick somebody go to faceinhole.com and put Malekith's face on a Kenny G picture! LOL

Rorschach was cool, but I think Malekith's face is probably pretty much as it is with some added element to make the eyes cool.

I still think this is the Stuntman not Eccleston by the way, it doesn't look enough like him in the face, but we shall see....

who makes him half dead or whatever in the comics? and what do you think will happen in the MCU? I'm assuming that is why he is "vengeful" in the synopsis, so likely Thor or Odin had something to do with it.

I can't wait to see Malekith properly lit and with finished special effects. I like the costume so far. It looks like instead of giving him a half and half face they've gone with part of his face being battle scarred. Shows how badass the character is. Look at just how scary and intimidating this face is!

I'm diggin the look, pretty original, not a "traditional" sort of dark elf look that most would've imagined.
But we'll have to hold out judgement until we see him with the CG-enhanced eyes.

I agree, I have been thinking those earlier pictures didnt look enough like Eccleston and was likely the stuntman. That one Godzilla posted looks more like him to me though.

I think the finished product of Malekith on film is going to be pretty awesome and scary. Remember they haven't even done post production and polished everything up yet. Grainy, unprofessional spy images cannot do the finished product justice with all the proper lighting and effects added to complete the character.

Yeah, Malekith looks like your basic constipated bad guy. Very curious to see what kind of CG they're going to do around his eyes, though --- it's *got* to be more than just "oooh, look, glowing eyes!" They wouldn't need CG ping-pong balls for that....it seems to suggest some sort of....I dunno, movement. Maybe as part of his facial scarring/burning (from whatever), part of his face is rotting or missing, like Two-Face in TDK.

But right now, the cannon-fodder Dark Elf masks definitely look a lot more menacing than Malekith himself does.

theres pictures of him now fighting Thor one on one, i don't know much about Malekith other than his showing on EMH but i feel like he should stand less of a chance against Thor than Loki in a physical battle. maybe this will be the first battle they have and Malekith gets whipped which causes him to create Kurse?

Big Thor what do you think? is Malekith supposed to pose a physical threat?
