Will be very nice if Aronofsky accept that, but i dont believe he have all the freedon necessary to do the film on his way and style.
Just saw Legend of the Guardians of G'Hoole.
This film might turn out to be Snyders' best overall so far.
The film also shows us why he should be considered to direct the next Superman movie and work with the Nolans and Goyer!
Goyer, the Nolans, and Snyder as the potential creative team behind The Man Of Steel film = A DYNAMIC filmmaking team for Superman.
still rootin' for Reeves. he seems the most qualified for the job....and a big "NO!" to Portman as Lois. i like her as an actress, but she's not Lois Lane. didn't they learn anything from the petite/girly Kate Bosworth as Lois??
just saw this posted at IGN.com:

Says that Darren Aronofsky is also being considered by Nolan........
the executive producer still holds a lot of power. Spielberg was executive producer for Transformers and much of it's success was due to him. it seems to me that Nolan will be helping with some of the writing as he's already gotten Goyer to dish out a screenplay.
Apparently Ben Affleck was taking a crack at Superman as well.

Edit: Smooth, BenReilly...very smooth.
My only worry is that it would be too high concept and turn into the same situation as The Fountain.
I don't think it will. This is a possible big franchise for WB, and especially after Superman Returns, WB isn't going to let him direct this unless they are on the same page.
The only reason I can see Aronofsky being interested in this is that maybe he has is own Inception he wants to do. He's got a project he really wants to do, but would require a ton of money, so if he does this and is successful, he might get to do it like Nolan got to do Inception.
Portman can bring more sass than Bosworth did IMO but if they want to go for a more world worn Lois with more size?
Kevin Smith could write a killer draft for superman... his absolute original outline that he wrote which was 80 pages was apparently superb... this was before all the ****ing crap he had to add in like no flying, the spider and this other ****.
Yeah, I heard the treatment was great as well, but I have zero faith in his writing an actual script without the use of vulgarity and not sure Superman saying **** every other word and discussing absurd sexual encounters would work very well.

It's a good read, even without his usual vulgarity. I never found that to be the appeal of Kevin Smith's films, it was more about witty dialogue and interesting characters.
And since I'm giving out links to scripts, here's the Year One script Miller and Aronofsky came up with...
