Fantasy Christopher Nolan's The Odyssey

No joke but that's how I saw Schindler's List... in the 6th grade.
6th grade?! Damn, that's early. Though incidentally when I was in 10th grade my school scheduled a trip to see this crappy Dracula musical on Broadway since we were all reading it. Long story short, there was nudity in it so you can imagine how that went down with a bunch of rowdy 15 year olds. :o

I think we had a school trip to see some sailor musical play (can't remember the name of it).

But I also had to get a signed permission slip to see the Kennedy assassination tape in the 7th grade...

...maybe that's why I'm so de-sensitized with violent images.

I'm just gonna assume it's the one that Sideshow Bob performed for Bart in that Cape Fear episode of The Simpsons. :o

I'll do you one better. When I was a senior in high school one of my teachers (this dude was right out of college) put on Apocalypto of all movies during free period. No permission slips were ever discussed.

Catholic school means instead of good movies, I got Passion of the Christ. :o
Growing up Catholic meant Rosemary's Baby, The Exorcist, and The Omen every Halloween. :o

EDIT: We did get the Ten Commandments every Easter, too. But that was you know good.

Same but I watched this:

A legit banger.
I was going to mention that. I remember wanting to go see it when I was little, but didn't get to. Watched in school when the teachers were trying to occupy our time before holiday break.

I remember renting it when it first came out on video and thinking, "I should have seen this in theaters."

Same. It looked great to me even as a kid. It's now my favorite DreamWorks film along with Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon.

Have you watched The Wild Robot yet? If you haven't I'd say make some space at the table next to those. And bring tissues too. :weeping:

Oh it's on my watch list. I didn't expect it to get so much praise.

IMO it's earned a spot on the Dreamworks Animation Mt. Rushmore next to Shrek, The Prince of Egypt, and How To Train Your Dragon. (I count Puss in Boots 2 as part of the Shrek franchise)

Same with Puss. I liked the first one and loved the second one.
