No, they don't. Who says they do?

And your point is?

my point is i do not get why alot of people thought they looked so errily similar when they do not look really similar.

A lot of people? I haven't heard anything of the sort.

And can you please use punctuation marks?

I think it was mainly the similarity when they were dressed as Clark. Which is no surprise really, because big glasses and the same hairstyle will do that to people who look slightly alike...

I think there is some similarity but I would not say that they look alike.

There are times they look alike for sure. There's many pics of Routh before he even played Superman where he looks a bit like Reeve.

They look a lot alike sometimes, but they're not clones.

The late Dana Reeve, wife of the great man himself, and Richard Donner both remarked on how Brandon resembled Christopher Reeve.

Also worth noting is how the sound similar as well.

Let's face it, let's be honest - the entire reason Routh was cast is because Bryan Singer wanted to recreate the original 1978 movie. Having said that, I do think Routh is very good in the role.

I didn't think BR looked like Reeve at all when I first saw pictures of him before he was in costume. Then the behind-the-scenes pics of him as Clark came out and I was surprised by the resemblance.. then the first official picture of Supes came out and I didn't see a resemblance at all. And in the actual movie, his Clark doesn't look like Reeve's to me, it's because his hair is longer and shaggier. But overall, I'd say they really don't look as similar as some people say they do. It really doesn't help that the suit and hair are so different from Reeve's.

There are times when they look quite alike and others not so much. I think the similarities are more along the lines of they played the roles similarly and that reminded us of Chris Reeve as Superman/Clark Kent

But that picture above is eerily similar...

I voted nothing alike, but after seeing some of these Pics, there is a slieght resemblence.

Here's a couple Pics of them with the same smile. The Pic of Reeve is an older one I believe after the accident, but you can clearly see, that when not on set there is really ZERO resemblence. Routh also looks like Superboy compared to Reeve in the shirt rip Pics. Again, Zero resemblence.

I cannot believe you just used that second pic of Reeve as a comparison...

I think there is some similarity but I would not say that they look alike.

At certain angle and lighting there is little similarities but not really that much. I think Reeve had a more striking face.

They look enough alike for someone to believe they're related. It's not that big a deal.

I always thought there was a definite resemblance, however if I saw Routh in something else and he had never played Superman, my mind wouldn't go close to the thought of "he looks like Chris Reeve". It all really just comes from the power of (in this case very obvious) suggestion.

You can dress anyone up to resemble anyone with the right amount of make-up, etc, especially when it's a roll in which the actor has to have that same certain look.

For example, look at the new 3 Stooges movie coming out soon, Chris Diamantopoulos looks absolutely nothing like Moe Howard (the original), but when you watch the trailer it's striking how much he resembles the real Moe.
