Superman Returns Reviews of Brandon Routh.

EDIT: Due to popular demand, I'm including negative comments about Routh as well.
They will appear in DARK RED, but so far their haven't been that many negative comments.
Also, the infamous JoBlo article IS NOT A REVIEW... it's only hearsay.

A year ago, all of the members of the Hype collectively agreed that the success or failure of Superman Returns would depend on the one "X factor" that no one could predict... Brandon's acting ability.

Brandon Routh turns in a performance that at many times plays as an homage to Christopher Reeve's legendary portrayal of Superman while managing to prove scene-after-scene that he now owns the role.

Brandon Routh is great. Seriously. There's enough Reeve in him that he wins you over quickly, but this role is definitely his now. He looks younger than Reeve, but his voice is deeper, and he actually seems more gravitas-y than even Reeve did. That may be blasphemy, but Routh really sold the flick for me.

Amongst much more established costars Routh acquits himself well. By the next one I see him having even greater command of this role.

All good things come to an end & replaced by new good things. Christopher Reeve will always be remembered as Superman but it is Brandons Rouths time now

You can count the fingers on a one fingered man as to the amount of critics who liked Routh as Superman in the suit. Although it doesn't matter to me about what the critics are saying about Routh until I see the movie, get your facts straight.

Routh being more popular than Reeve now doesn't make what Reeve did while he was alive any less important or honorable. Routh might be the new Superman but just remember...without Reeve, Routh probably wouldn't be the new Supes. so while Routh's actions now are super...Reeve paved the way for Routh to do what he's doing.
