Roan Montgomery needs to return. :(

A return guest appearance would be great. He could chide Chuck on trying to settle down with Sarah could be fun, poke fun at Sarah at how right he was... and just be Roan Montgomery.

As for the season... it's certainly been really, really goofy (the villains have always been the one part of the show that stays semi-serious, and they've thrown that out the window this season). I can understand why it bothers some (as I've admitted, I still prefer Season 2 to Season 4's direction). But I get why they're trying it - they've decided to drop all serious pretenses after much of Season 3 was panned by fans for being too serious and too angst laden (and IMO, it was). So the writers have gone a different route.

Season one had the best balance of action and comedy. I would prefer it if they went back to that short-lived approach.

That route, and what it developed into in Season 2, nearly got the series canned. So they went with Season 3's approach, and it failed.

Now they're going another way with Season 4... and while it's certainly nowhere near what we started with, it's making the big wigs happy enough to give them their biggest season ever.

I can't complain.

Season one never had a chance because of the writer's strike. It abruptly ended half-way through. Season two made the mistake of devoting all the sub-plots to the Buy More. I like the Buy More as much as everyone else, but it was too excessive. And I guess everyone else thought so too if the show almost got cancelled.

Eh, Season 1 did have its own fair share of Buy More time too - it just wasn't seen as of big as a deal because the season was shortened, as you said.

And honestly, I thought the Buy More types were completely insufferable in season one (particularly Morgan). While they do occasionally get up to some annoying plots, I think they've grown quite a bit, and shine sometimes. One of my favorite standalone episodes in the series' run remains Chuck vs. Tom Sawyer (The Jeff/Missile Command ep)

Dalton rules. Serious, then goofy.

My ranking? Season 2, season 1, season 4, season 3. Still say most epic fight...nerves wise...Routh vs Chuck season 3 finale.

This season being goofy and serious...is getting bit old. No new chuck til Jan?

Oh yeah, Chuck rose. Did I believe half hours of 1.9 with 6 mil and 2.1 with 6.2 mil. Impressive.

I still think season 1 was the silliest season. For me it is S2, S3, S4, S1.

I recently started watching the show while on a plane coming back to Perth from London a couple months back later realising it was the first 4 episodes of Season 3. Can't get over how light the show is and later coming to enjoy it as a whole. Just finished the 3rd season the other day and now am up to the 4th episode of Season 4. It's been a heck of a ride and Chuck is definitely a character I can relate to.

Favourite character? May as well be Casey! :)

Looking forward to seeing Timothy Dalton as Volkoff. Also enjoying Stone Cold Steve Austin as Hugo not to mention Armand Assante as the dictator too. The Angel de la Muerte episode was hilarious. ;)

Also another. Ellie or Sarah? :p

Glad you're liking the show, FVD.

I've been rewatching seasons 1 through 3. Season 2 is the best. Season 1 was better than I had remembered. Despite being a bit disjointed and having cool subplots reduced or only temporarily explored, Season 3 was really enjoyable.

Roan Montgomery is coming back! Carina is coming back! The proposal and Baby Awesome are coming sooner rather than later!

Is there a new one tonight?

Love the way... [BLACKOUT]they're bringing him back in too. The logic of "army of mercenary women? This calls for Roan Montgomery!" is totally sound in my book.[/BLACKOUT]

I bet the baby's name will be Stephen after his grandfather. :D

Whoo! Roan's returning, Carina's returning...I can't wait!

:funny: It makes perfect sense.

[BLACKOUT]I wonder how Carina's return will affect Morgan since he's dating Alex now. :funny:[/BLACKOUT]

[BLACKOUT]Her return could have a lot of fun character moments. That, her thoughts on finally official pair of Chuck/Sarah, her ongoing history with Casey, etc.[/BLACKOUT]

What would you guys think about having Ilsa Trinchina(Ilsa Trinchina) return? I just watched Chuck Versus the Undercover Lover and thought it was funny how Casey sharing his feeling with Chuck and how Chuck got Casey to go after her was great. But some of my favorite moments from the show have Casey doing something out of character like when he sings the high C?

I have finaly sawevery episode of Chuck thats out right now after getting S2 for Christmas and picking S1 and 3 up last week. This makes Chuck only the 3rd show where I've seen every episode(excluding new shows). The other two are Smallville and Supernatural. And Chuck has replaced Supernatural as my #2 favorite show with Smallville still #1.

I hope that there isn't another hiatus this long any time soon. Will be great having new episodes starting tomorrow.

Might see a short one late in the season, but nothing major from here on out. Got a lot of new 'eps to air, can't take time off! :woot:
