Civil War II announced

Falcon better watch out when Civil War 3 comes around

[blackout]black superhero best friend death trifecta[/blackout]

Is Goliath really Hank Pym's best friend? I concede he was his friend, but how often did they interact?

So what's this civil war about now? of all the books I've read involving the story arc, I don't get it

Since Bill was introduced in the early Avengers comics and hit it off with Hank they have been portrayed as very close friends.

Pym didn't have a solo comic so their interaction was somewhat limited buy in The Avengers book they interacted every now and again. Bill often worked as Hank's Lab assistant/lab partner.

In Ant-Man & Wasp it was revealed Foster had worked with Hank Pym on a virtual reality program where one could upload their consciousness and live on after death prior to his own death. A grieving Pym uploaded Foster's mind into the program, in effect creating a virtual Utopia for his comrade.

Kinda reminds me of the movie Minority Report. You have a new inhuman who has the ability to see the future, though apparently not in control of these visions he gets, and Tony and Carol are arguing over whether to use this advantage to prevent crimes from happening.

Carol is probably going to beat up Tony and Steve is being the peacemaker this outta be good.

Know ya got problems when the Hydra Agent is playing referee

Sheesh that's it?

Is Civil War II any good? I'm contemplating reading it but most people around the comic shops say it's meh.

I haven't read the second issue. The first issue was fine, but not great. People have prejudged it so it's hard to get an objective opinion. That being said, I don't think I can be confident that it'll get end strong either.

Thoroughly enjoyed the 1st issue. Only complaint is that while Tony has a VERY good reason to be upset, he's mad about the wrong thing. His argument has a very weak foundation but this CW is gonna be way more emotional than the 1st one.

2nd issue was good too; although they could cut back on some of the humor. This isn't Iron Man 3.

So far Civil War II seems to be a well written bad story that is getting worse with each issue.

It is Bendis writing Avengers characters which usually means lots of wisecracking.

If Bendis writes any team book, they all become the same character, and they all have to be funny.

Tiresome japes aside. I'd rather a Bendis event over one by honorary quantum physics pH.D recipient Jonathan Hickman.

Finished the 2nd issue. It's not bad but I've yet to be really grabbed by the story--I guess you could say I'm indifferent as I don't feel any emotional connection to it. I also read the first issue of Spider-Man Civil War...it, was, ok. I'm gonna keep reading though cause it definitely has the potential.

When did Doom lose the face scars? I thought that was supposed to be Norman Osborn at first, and groaned hard.

So i got this book and WHAT THE %^&* MAN!!
Why is it the BROTHER HAS TO GET KILLED!! FREAKING RHODEY!! i call Straight up BULL^&* ON THAT!
of all the damn characters marvel can use and... Seriously!!
i knew this book was going to be Bull^&* but i tried it anyway! i am out!!

So wait, they're recycling the same plot from the first CW?

Reed had his magic math that showed the world would go kablooey or something if they didn't do it and now it's a psychic that says the same thing?

That part is only the same plot in the most vague of abstractions.
