Civil War Civil War Rotten Tomatoes Thread - Part 2

137-11 now

So 6 positive added in the last 30 minutes

Yeah I was going to say being in the west cost and having not been up for long being that I have today off and school in a few hours I noticed there are a lot more reviews then there where last night when I went to bed.

Another rotten. 137-12

2nd Top Critic rotten

Mike LaSalle of the SF Chronicle

Downey is enough to make you think that an Avengers movie with no action at all might still be good. It might even be an improvement

As an action film, it has its moments, but aside from the big opening sequence — in which the entire gang goes after terrorists — the action scenes are a bit flat. They’re flat for a simple reason: No suspense. For example, if there’s a fight between Spider-Man (Tom Holland) and Captain America, you know neither will get killed.

He didn't like TWS.

Ugh, he said the Force Awakens is the best Star Wars sequel to date.

Done. LOL.

Read his review he also said this

So i'm guessing the Force Awakens is the best Star Wars sequel to him mainly because
died.

I'm seeing the review as a positive from Mick Lasalle

F^ck Chronicle. They have been panning every single MCU mvoei since the first Iron Man. seriously, is this how it's going to be. in every MCU film we will have Salon, Vulture, NY Times and Chronicle giving it bad reviews? I'm so pissed right now, it's like groundhog Day.

For Christ's Sake, it's like every MCU film will begin with 4-5 granted Rotten reviews no matter what!!!!

While to me force awakwens may be better then empire strikes back and to me the best star wars sequel is return of the jedi.

Yeah, that's the 2nd review I've read in the last 12 hours that sounds much more positive than negative. The last one got changed to positive and my guess is this one will too. I always thought it was the reviewers that chose whether a review was negative or positive but after yesterday and now today I'm not sure anymore.

Edit: Never mind. He gave it a 2/4 which would be a rotten in my eyes. His review doesn't read like it though :funny:

One of the previous SFC reviewers gave Avengers a positive review, since LaSalle has take over, he's given a negative review to 6 out of the last 7 MCU movies with the exception of Ant-Man. This guy does have a dislike for the whole expanded universe.

One more positive. 138-12 (exactly 92% of 150 reviews)

I hope CW will climb back to 94%.

The only good thing about that is that the usual ah&les that pan them are out of the picture now. Vulture, Salon, SFC, NY Times, CineVue have all given their reviews. Even Movie Nation who traditionally hates suprhero films has sumbitted it's review. it has all the space to make a run, the rest top critics will likely praise it.

139-12. One more positive.

NY Post, LA Times, Salon, St. Louis Patch Dispatch, Chicago Reader and the Philadelphia Inquirer still have to do theirs.

Not sure if Salon's is positive or negative.

St. Louis Patch Dispatch has a different reviewer so that's unknown.

They all gave negative votes to TWS.

140-12 nice run starting here hopefully.
