I never knew people had a major problem with his accent. I mean in Terminator Salvation or Avatar you never really got to know where he was from anyhow. In Avatar he was just hired gun, in Salvation yeah he was in an American prison but that doesn't mean he has to be american. :p

I didn't care for the accent, at all. I was too distracted by Yelchin doing anything he could to save Salvation.

I mean ****, it's as if Marcus Wright became paralyzed; woke up one day and was sent to Pandora the next. There's...no difference in the characters other than one's a down on his luck war grunt and one's just some down on his luck inmate turned terminator.

So with the new trailer out here are my thoughts on what they kept from the original: Perseus is still a demigod, the son of Zeus, Pegasus is there but now a black winged horse instead of white, Medusa is there, the 3 blind witches, the big scorpions, the love story, Argos is destroyed (i think and the travel of Perseus and his mother in the coffin) and the Kraken of course. The new elements are Hades, a sorcerer controlling the scorpions and and some few things.

Bubo is out. Faceless man is in.

Is that Perseus' mother in the coffin? I thought it was his love interest. T'm not sure who the actress is but she's blonde & I thought it was the same woman in the bed scene (thought I saw blonde hair). It happens so fast, I can't really tell.

Zeus talks of his son having no love for him, so I kind of get the impression Zeus isn't helping Perseus' much. It seems like a fight between humans and gods. Or maybe humans getting in the middles of Zeus and Hades.

If I remember correctly in the original myth Hades and some other gods basically manipulate Perseus to **** with Zeus and co. So Perseus is a pawn.

Dunno if they are going for that with the movie though.

Calibos is also there.

Well... he's actually American. He was born in New York, and he lived there till he was twelve. So he can probably pull a John Barrowman, who slips into a scottish accent whenever he's around scots.

I know where he is from, I grew up right across the river from where he is from.

But I mean, for all the crap I hear going toward Worthington, everyone forgets guys like Gibson (who had a pretty hard Aussie accent when he started in the 80's), Ahnold, Van Damme, Statham...

Let me remind people Gibson's first films wasn't perfect in dialog at all and he got better. And if he doesn't well he doesn't. Paul Hogan keeps same accent and it works for him.

At least he doesn't yell at people all the time Like Bale does with his acting.

Having a hard accent doesn't bother me. Gerard Butler has one & my only complaint of his is when he tried an american accent. Sam goes in and out of accents in the same movie. In terminator he was all over the place & in the clash trailer it looks like he's even worse.

Not every actor needs to be a master of being completely different in every role. There are MANY popular actors who rely on their personality with a few changes here and there. This is especially true in comedy...but also in action/adventure films.

Riiiight.

In Batman his yelling and growling was fine since he was playing Batman and needed to be intimidating. For TS he's in a lot of ****** situations, especially at the end trying to rescue Reese. I think he would be pretty tense and on edge, I wouldn't expect someone to talk normal or whisper in that kind of situation and state.

I can't recall many if any other films of his where he yelled the entire time. He did a bit in Reign of Fire...but not all the time.

it's silly...Bale just got that flack from Terminator Salvation. But it'll be forgotten by the time The Fighter comes out. hopefully.

Box Office Mojo officially announces that Clash of the Titans will open April 2nd, as Heat Vision previously reported. It doesn't indicate whether the film will be in 3D (guess we'll wait until the WB releases their COTT press release).

I prefered Worthington character in the film over Bales Conner. I don;t Bale yelled in 3:10 to Yuma.
It just seems like now a days he is in Batman Mode.

So Worthington did not help or hinder the film despite being in every scene. Wow talk about delusion or bias. your credibilty is in question

in the original myth, as ive heard it, zues makes baby with perseus's mommy, hr father, not too happy about this birth ourside of wedlock, puts them both in a box and sets in adrift on the sea. theyre saved, this king that saves them want persues' mom to himslef, and as long as the kid is alive, well that hinders his plans, so hsedns him on a quest to kill medusa and bring her head back as a gift. along the way athena give him ehr shoeld, hermes his winged sandals, and someone other gods helped i believe. after killing medusa which spawns pegasus and another being, idr who. on his way back, he rescues andromeda, and kills the kraken, gets home with the girl, and uses medusas head to turn everyone at the wedding thats supposed to go on between the king and his mother, save for, his mother and himself as well as andromeda

I think we can all agree Sam Worthington's not the best at doing an American accent, but why should it matter what his accent sounds like in Titans?

Perseus isn't American anyway.

Also, I fail to see how Bale "yells all the time", he doesn't even yell all the time in TS.

As for Worthington, I thought he was "meh" in TS but liked him in Avatar. I'll hopefully be able to form a more complete judgment of his acting ability in Titans.

It's a matter of him deciding on an accent and sticking with it.

Spell check, son. It works wonders.

Hey Cameron didn't mind his accent and look at Avatar so id say he need not worry about looking for work just yet

Russel Crow has gone years sounding like an Aussie and i see no one complaining about him

It's because he has charisma and is a good actor. Look, people don't care when Mel Gibson or Sean Connery still play characters using their original accents. I imagine most people would be disappointed if Connery didn't use his Scottish accent in his roles. They have enough screen presence that people can overlook their accents. Sam Worthington? Not so much.
