Wow. I just love those petty excuses. "Oh, Hollywood's always gonna be making these movies." So? What the hell does that have to do with being faithful to the material? If they want to make up some new characters and storylines for a lame-brain 'Raiders' remake, I wouldn't mind. But instead, they're taking a game that millions have grown up with and turned it into something that generic and uninspired. It feels like the screenwriters for the film just cherry-picked a bunch of stories out of the present 'PoP' games and threw 'em into the movie.

Why couldn't they have just played the games and translate them on over to the big-screen with some class. This is an adaption, afterall. I don't mind if it's somewhat different, if it's got a new character or further develops one so the audience could relate more to him or her. But, of course not. They're just gonna have the characters shoot-out mediocre dialogue back-and-forth at each other. If the actors maybe had a little more charisma (like Arnold Schwarzenegger or Mel Gibson or Jackie Chan), I could buy into it. But, no. Let's just hire these guys because they're the prettiest of the bunch and we can do them up to make them look even more attractive than they are. Then people will love them!

Give me a break. I've just had it up to the sky with these kind of movies that rely so greatly on charismatic characters, and yet they don't even hire charismatic actors to portray them.

I see what you're saying and yeah, I'm in the same boat as you in most cases. But I'm not gonna paint it broad strokes and condemn all movies like that because we're all guilty of liking one or few of them. And I think there's worse looking movies than 'Prince of Persia'.

I hope that you're not putting 'Clash' over 'Prince' as if it's in another category when it's clearly not.

I love remakes. why?
because they always bring out the original on blu ray at the same time. I have clash of the titans on pre-order blu ray.

now all I need is for star wars to be remade...oh wait.

The photoshop on the new 'Clash' blu-ray is 'meh'. It doesn't look as bad as the other photoshopped covers but still, I prefer the original poster art.

wTF is this guy talking about Jake is perfect as the prince has the look/physique and personality down pact it is like you never played the games

sorry prefer a guy who i know is a to ptier actor who is made to look the role then an unknown who may fail big time

i know see what im talking about
just imagine if Liam wasnt Ras Al Gul in BB, the film would of been close to meh
I disagree. I think that the role could've worked for many actors. But, the writing for the character was pretty lame. He could've easily have been another stock villain stereotype looking to "take over the world" (or Gotham City).

The new Kraken murders the old Kraken in my opinion. The only thing I would change is the beady eyes, I'd like them to be more demonic.

Are you joking? Ra's wasn't stereotypical at all. He was the one who brought Bruce from the brink. He was the one who set Bruce on his journey to become Batman. And he didn't want to take over the world or Gotham City. Did you even watch the movie? He wanted to destroy Gotham because it was totally corrupt. Him and the League of Shadows were sorta, purifiers. Murderous ones but still. The Ra's character was definitely not a stereotypical villain. I mean how many villains in comic book movies or ANY movies start off as the heroes mentor?

Stock villain stereotype? Ra's was somewhat underwritten he served his purpose in the movie well.

I know, man. That's just my take on it. It doesn't matter if you agree or disagree, I respect anyone who knows what they like and what they don't and are willing to speak or say something about it. Hell, I even liked 'Mortal Kombat'. I was expecting to hate it like I did the other video game adaptions because they were all virtually identical to past achievements ('Super Mario Bros.' - 'Blade Runner'). But, it was a nice surprise to see that I liked 'Mortal Kombat' because it was cheesy. Yes. It was stupid. Yes. But the movie itself and it's actors were all aware of it. That's what I liked about it. Not to mention the characters were all different from one-another, they all looked different and could be appealing to a variety of audiences. Just like the game. I love 'Mortal Kombat'... It's so bad.

I'm not talking about when he pulls Bruce in and teaches him the ropes. I'm talking about the final act of the film where he's pretty much a dead-pan adversary to Batman. The whole final act to the film was just disappointing in comparison to the remainder of the film.

I know. But, again, the third act killed it for me.

Awesome new trailer, love how medusa looks and that big ass monster at the end. Badass

As there is gonna be no Bubo in this film could there still be a pet bird that the Gods have?

If you pause the trailer when Zeus says "Release the Kraken", there is a bald eagle in the background.

in the Empire.com article, the writers replaced Bubo with the Wooden warrior dude as the 'mascot' character.

Just watched the trailer again on my TV with my surround sound on. Damn that Krakon fight is going to be ****ing insane.

Yeah I know that but in the original film the actual owl, Bubo, not the mechanical version that Perseus had was a pet to Athena but because we know that there is gonna be no Bubo in this film, there could still be a pet bird as an homage to the original film. The trailer shows an eagle in the background so that could be the pet bird of Gods.

i think in the next months it will be nice to see hypocrits jumping out if their holes. with avatar they wanted story story and story. here they dont care that its all about visuals and action.

:awesome:

Yea but the story is interesting enough. Gods vs Gods. Man rebelling against the God's. God's putting a load of weird, amazing looking monsters up against rebellious man. This film is gonna be epic I reckon.

I ain't bothered about Jake.

I just think it looks like the Transformers of sword and sandal movies. Whilst this looks like the real deal.
It looks like Pirates 4.

I had and still do have hopes for PoP but that trailer was very 'meh'. This trailer defines the word epic.

damn they took it down on screen rant, can anyone pm it
