You can see Poseidon in the pic below. He is in the background with similar armour to Zeus.
Yeah, I remember that picture.
But I mean that there haven't been any pictures yet in which you can clearly make out his face. So, a much more closer photo of Poseidon.

Protocida, could you remember how big (or small) part does Ares have in the film?

To convert it into 3D.

seriously, why bother? its not proper 'avatar' 3D and as such I'm going to watch this in 2D. I'm going to avoid and 3D picture that is speficially shot in 3D from day one.

It was Danäe, Perseus' mother. She was throwed in by her husband, Acrisius. That's why Acrisius goes from this...

... To this...

Acrisius fate isn't that, I think he died in the orginal movie.
The picture is of Calibos who is the son of Thetis, more details here.

they dont care if its the proper 3D. they spend less money and they get more money with the 3D tickets. it makes a lot sense why they did it.

hollywood is about money.

But it shouldn't be that's the problem. The only did it for that purpose which is wrong. Landau is right. A film should be shot in 3D in principal photography.

Does it matter? So it's not a proper 3D Movie, so I'll watch it in 2D. You can't blame them for wanting to make more money. That's how business works, it's all about money.

No. Sorry.

That's in the original movie. In this version, there's no Calibus and Acrisius is turned into a monster as punishment for trying to kill Danae.

I'll see it in 2D also. Can do without the headache.

Would like more of these kind of films to start shooting in 3D. Can really add something to the experience.

The Medusa could be really freaky in proper 3D, when she is looking at you and her snakes are jumping at you.

Me too. I've said this before on other threads, Avatar has revolutionized the
3D feature for films.

That would be cool.

As long as there are no scenes of any men's snakes jumping at me, I'm fine.

Would have loved to see that!!

Medusa should scare the **** out of you & proper 3D would certainly have helped with that.

Obviously the COTT makers didn't have the chance to see how good it would be before they shot so I don't hold it against them.. but any future epic spectacle that could benefit from 3D (that hasn't started filming yet) has no excuse.

Yes it does. Converting Clash to 3D was the soul purpose of making money only. Avatar and Cameron wanted to push the experience artistically and didn't do it for just profit.

it will be interesting to see comments about the movie when its out.

the movie will be in 3D. and there will be some shots where things fly in the camera. of course when they filmed this movie they didtn think about the 3D. so all the shots were done without 3D in mind. but of course since a lot of people dont know this they will think that they are like that specific becususe of the 3D.

it will be funny

Exactly.

I plan on seeing this in 2D since normal 3D gives me a slight headach over time. Not to mention I have to take off the glasses for a few seconds and rub the bridge of my nose since it starts to ache from the glasses resting their.

By the way Doctor Jones, I want to reread your Wolfman draft before I comment back. So far I like a lot of the changes though.

Thanks alot! I was kind of nervous about some of the changes I made. I'm glad you like them.

And I don't think I'll be seeing this in 3D either. I will only see a 3D film like Avatar that is shot for 3D only and if I'm interested in it. I guess the Spider-Man reboot will be shot that way so that's good. However I still question its need to be in 3D. But lets face it, at the end of the day now with Avatar's success people will be converting to 3D because of the money. I do see 3D as the next wave of filmmaking like color and sound, but only done like Avatar. I want it to be an immersive experience and subtly done. Not stuff popping out at you. Eventually I think commercials won't even need to say "Now in 3D" people will just go to them expecting it 3D.

Yeah, although I don't expect non-visual films to bother with 3D.

So, do we know what the actual plot is?

From what I've gathered,
Andromeda leads some kind of human rebellion against the gods, Zeus orders her sacrificed to the Kraken and Perseus' mission is to save her? And meanwhile Hades is manipulating events to overthrow Zeus?

Anyone know any more details? I mean, it's pretty well established by now that the remake's equivalent of Calibos is Perseus' "father" Acrisius, and obviously we've still most of the monsters from the original, including Medusa, the Stygian witches, the Kraken, giant scorpions, etc.

In this movie it looks like they based Madeusa of the versions from God Of War. Unless there were already designs of Madeusa being half woman half snake.
