TIH was ok but it didn't feel like a Hulk film. Especially when Gen Ross was Gen Ross in name only. And Hulk didn't seem like Hulk to me. There was no sense of him being a big angry toddler just wanting to be left alone. No dual personality thing like in Ang's. No scenes like the one where Hulk sees his reflection or when he is completely calm flying through the air.

The action scenes were pretty sick though.

Mind you I haven't seen Clash yet.

There are directors who get better with each and every movie (at least their early stuff) and there are directors who are kinda stuck at creative plateau.

Think of Roland Emmerich and Michael Bay; they're making movies but they don't evolve beyond the action stuff. Maybe making a movie that's tighter, maybe make a movie with some character development, maybe don't relay so much on the cliches.
God, they have tried with The Island, Pearl Harbor, and The Patriot, but then go back to old self.

While I'm not saying that Louis is gonna be the next Scorese or anything but he still has a chance to 'mature' a little bit. I doubt it.

So you dont think he will get better?

At least he hasnt made any incredibly bad movie

i don't think so. but i'm not gonna say he won't. i just can't see it but hey, he's successful so he's doing something right i suppose.

He's not a bad film director but I just don't like him or the other directors that came from "Eurpora", Luc Besson's film company. That includes Pierre Morel.

Luc kills them all with Leon The Professional and La Femme Nikita.

People who have seen the movie, true or not true?
I pretty much agreed with the review 100%.

Also the Bubo cameo made me kind of angry. It felt like it was saying screw you to Bubo and if you liked Bubo in the original like we are doing a movie better than the original.

haha. that's it.

they do have a decent logo sequence though

Just got out of it, a friend hooked it up with an early after hours screening.

5 or 6 (out of 10). It wasn't bad...it just wasn't very good.

And seriously,
The movie builds up to this big showdown with the Kraken and its over in like 20 seconds? Seriously? And Hades was probably finished off in what, 10?

At the end of the movie I was like, "That's it?"

Bleh...bring on Kick-Ass.

I'm pro-3d if it's done right ( regardless if a movie it shot in 3d or converted).
But with the news of so many people saying that the 3d sucked , i'm hoping that this will send a message to WB ( and other studios) not to rush conversions.

COTT opens next week in Holland and i'll watch it first in 2d ( if they have 2d version of course:o) and afterwards in 3-d.

For the people on here who are saying it sucks. Are they actually seeing the movie for themselves or just listening to what others are saying and not forming a opinion of theirs or what?

Its one thing to see a movie and not like it. But to just be like oh, yeah, so and so said this movie sucks, so it must be true.

I said it before and I'll say it again. People rely too much on review boards, If its something you wanna see and it looks good, see it. Just don't follow the crowd. Make up your mind for yourself.
but from the 10 clips i saw, it does have horrible dialogue and Sam doesn't look like he's doin his best, it's cool how it's comes out at 8:00 tonight, i'll try to catch it after work, but yea dude i love reviews, i'll take reviews over cool looking tv spots and trailers :cwink:

And The Fifth Element!

yea i was pissed when i found out LL was in for Clash

hope we see a lot of Pegasus

man whats up with tv spots giving away the last shot of the movie? they did that with Avatar and Clash and a bunch more movies like Cast Away

I thought it was pretty obvious from the start that this film wasn't gonna be much more than a mindless popcorn flick, so since I've had that in mind for a long time now, I'm still looking forward to seeing it Saturday. :woot:

You know now with COTT coming out, i'd love to read the original script of COTT.
If i remember correctly the script was a HARD R feature , directed by Stephen Norrington and would use the same green screen shooting method of 300

Just as long as the movie has plenty of monster action, I'm a happy camper.

All the reviewers i usually check , with the exception of'Drew McWeeny , have said that the movie it an okay fun movie.
EMPIREONLINE gives it 3 out of 5 stars , JOBLO.com give it a 7/10 , CS has 2 reviews and both give the movie a 7/10.
Of course all of them were unanimous in saying that audiences should skip the 3d version and watch the 2d version.

WB is ridiculous with this mass conversion for the future. They seem to be making out pretty well with HP, Batman, LOTR, and a string of DC films that Nolan will oversee (at least with Supes), but the second Avatar blows everything out of the water, they want everything in 3-D this second to make a quick buck. It's beyond lazy and they don't deserve to have a successful spring tentpole. Since 300 in 2007, WB's big March movies have bombed with 10,000 BC and Watchmen. Interesting to see if this one follows suit.

I'll watch it this weekend in 2D. I just want to see a fun action flick.

If this bombs then all hope of seeing Kratos on the big screen seems even more glumy. And I really want to see that.

How different is he from the comics? I thought he was fine.

And Hulk didn't seem like Hulk to me. There was no sense of him being a big angry toddler just wanting to be left alone.

Despite the first scene featuring the Hulk actually having him say "leave me alone."? I'm sorry but what movie did you see?

'Cause that s*** was boring as sin? :whatever:

I think he Meant Ang lees Hulk was a much deeper movie, its a hell thinker, and most people dont want to think that freaking hard when they go see a Hulk Movie. TIH was overall a much more enjoybale Movie, But Ang Lee Hulk is themitically superior in both characters and plot.

not really there is another big mythology movie coming out Dawn of War by Tarsem

Yeah I've been hearing that comment a lot recently ^^^. I wasn't a huge fan of the movie, but that's a bit of a head scratcher...
