Clor gonna get a whuppin!

As long as it wasn't Storm, that's all I cared about. :woot:

While she did have a better shot at it than most (as, say, her hubby or, what, 90% of superheroes???) and I do like the character, I just loooove the thought of her hardcore fans/defenders being pissed about her not owning and being goddess queen of the universe 24/7 :woot:
 I'm not pissed.

Clor's dead. Black Goliath has been avenged. That's good enough for me.

Go in X-Men section's Storm thread and go ask the hardcore fans how strong Storm is. :cwink:

Huh, and you're supposed to qualify as a Storm fanatic? Never noticed. :woot:
I used to post in that thread but I unsubbed. The constant back and forth that goes in there, and the Iceman thread, gets tiring. I even unsubbed from this thread because of it, but I wanted to see what was going on.

But was does it matter since clor didn't have a soul?? Just playing, I didn't care about BG.

Oh right because Hercules was so distraught when that happened right? He didn't even seem to care, he'd rather batter him for dressing up like Thor than killing Bill Foster.

I think it was a god/disrespect thing.

That's a better reason for killing him than avenging Bill Foster, as far as I'm concerned. Killing some random C-lister isn't cool or whatever, but having the gall to impersonate one of the noblest and most powerful warrior deities ever? Damn straight that's a good reason to kill the *****e.

I know, I was just pointing out that Hercules didn't kill Clor to avenge Bill. But that isn't so bad really is it? you'd think he'd be more angry at Reed for creating it or something. It's not really like Clor had much choice in the matter, he was killed for being created more or less. Sounds tres sympathetic towards Clor but I'd definetly be more pissed at Reed & Stark for making the thing.

True, Reed and Tony were utter asses. I'm sure the only thing that saved them was Cap's cease-fire, though.

Anyway, all that really matters in the end is that Clor's dead and Thor's on his way back later this year. Much rejoicing should be had by all throughout the land.

You know, I was amused as I read some of the comments in this thread. Some of you guys seeeriously have no clue about this character, her powers or her potential. I mean...I'm talking total underestimation. And the worst part? Because some of you dislike the character personally it blinds you to being objective when considering her powers. I mean, Storm losing to She-Hulk or Ms. Marvel? Come on guys...this woman can literally move the earth off its rotation, manipulate the stars in its immediate vicinity or the moon itself.

So I guess I'm confused as to your comments. I'm arguably one of the biggest and most knowledgable fans of this character here and even I knew she probably wouldn't win against this clone. Why? Because I know Storm's limitations. Therefore, I'm hardly "pissed" in the least that she didn't take the victory (although I haven't gotten my new issue yet) if that's what's happened. Going in I knew Clor would be a formidable opponent for Ororo...and being a fan doesn't blind me to that. But I also knew she'd give his ass a run for its money and from the testimony of others it sounds like I was correct.

I'm mostly happy to see Storm get some play-time and get off the bench for once. ;) It's good to see her in action again because since her marriage, she's been sitting idly in T'Challa's book.

Indeed I have high expectations for his new series, don't ask me why especially since JMS is writing it, but it should be good to have the norse God back. Especially if Stark tries to get him to register :whatever: The art looks good though I guess.

Hahaha! That'll be the day!

If Stark knows what's good for him and his silly little initiative he'll steer well clear of the Asgardians.

Thor's first thought upon hearing about the events of CW would probably be to storm the prison Cap's being held at and spring him. Not that Cap would go, of course.

Would cap have much of a choice? Not many people would argue with Thor, I mean compared to him, cap's a child.

In terms of power. But Thor respects Cap more than any other mortal, and probably more than anyone short of Balder, Sif, and Odin.

Very true. Given the circumstances i'd imagine that Thor would see this as Cap giving up on himself, thus forcing him to drag his a$$ out of jail for his own good, and to start fighting the good fight again.

That it would. Shame it'll never happen, not unless marvel decide to do something right for the first time this year. Hmm, that's a bit unfair of me to say. Annihilation was done right

So what exactly happened during the battle with Storm and Clor? Did Hercules just jump in the mix and help her or what?

The battle between Herc and Clor happened after the Storm encounter. Basically, Herc shouted "Thou art no Thor!" and smashed the immitation Mjolnir into Clor's synthetic little head.

Oh, and about the Thor homeage, I just think Herc looked a little like Thor as he delievered the killing blow to Clor. That's all.

Someone's gotta scan that.

What happened in the Storm/Clor fight? I was ambivalent about it. On the one hand, I hate Clor so I was hoping he'd get his ass kicked; but on the other hand, even a clone of a weather god should trump Storm's paltry genetic powers because magic kicks science's ass every time. I don't really like Storm much, either.
