THough i know both Master and Lincoln will have stellar performances because of Spielberg and PTA , fact is that these movies are what the older academy members want to see. Plus as much as i adore PTA and Spielberg , c'mon thiese movies are oscar bait.
Cloud Atlas may be good but i think it'll get the Drive reception.
Good reviews but virtually ignored when the awards season rolls in.

It looks utterly phenomenal. I was worried that they would butcher the book, but after seeing the footage, it really seems that Tykwer & the Wachowskis has overcome the challenge of adapting the book. I am ridiculously excited for the film now.

I didn't know this would be an oscar-type film but it looks INCREDIBLE and very poignant....and being that The Matrix is my favorite film I've always had a soft spot for the wachowskis and want to see them catch lightning in a bottle twice. I just love how the story isn't limited to a particular genre

Some of the dialogue seems iffy but it could be because it's most it's out of context, it's a mesmerizing trailer no doubt, just from the trailer alone Wachowskis and Tykwer hit the poetic and moving tone of the book. The only aspect I'm worried that could alienate the audience is the race & gender swap but I'm optimistic they'll pull it off. Love that they used a M83 song.

The Wachowski's and Tyker seem really invested and dedicated to this so I really hope it ends up being great because from that 5 minute trailer it really does look phenomenal.

It almost reminds me of a more refined/westernized version of a Kazuaki Kiriya film.

Well this could either be a complete bloated mess of a disaster or something truly unique and incredible to watch cinematically.

Liked what I saw though. But one things's for sure, this screenplay had to have been an absolute ***** to write.
