Colin Farrell IS The Penguin

I'm a big fan of Colin Farrell but really not sure about casting. I guess we'll see it even actually happens and if so, I won't say much until I at least see an official first look image

Wow! Some out-of-the-box casting right here. Love the Gotham and Telltale Penguins so I got no problem for Farrell. Penguin has always struck me as a bonafide loser, despite his sense of accomplishment and prestige. Psychotic and grandiose too, like his performance in Alexander. Farrell can tap into those aspects of the character.

I'm laughing at how quickly things swerved from the original purported rumors. We could have had our Riddler and Penguin as Jonah Hill and Seth Rogen, and we end up with Paul Dano and Colin Farrell. Talk about 180.

Both Telltale and Gotham Penguins are more "slim and lean" and they're both ****ing awful lmao.

Honestly, the appearance sort of factors into the characterization for me. The whole reason he's called The Penguin in the first place is usually his appearance. Plus it can't be a coincidence lol

While I am totally on board with Serkis as Alfred, Colon Ferrell as Penguin is a total miss and uninspiring. They really should have aimed for someone who is really fresh and can help bring a new set of fans and just a totally new craze, buzz and fire to this whole project. Sheeran is honestly one such talent who could have just put this thing into overdrive in terms of media coverage, new fans and mass audience curiosity while also bringing a new way to perform an evil role. He is also physically weighty/pudgy and out of shape.

The thing with BossLogic is, even when the dude gets the casting right, the final product always looks nothing like his version , which tends to be kinda tragic considering how damn good it always is and how it reminds us of what could've been...

They're still on the heavy side tho. Penguin doesn't have to be super fat, if he's just on the heavier side like in the Lobster that's okay
