But he does not look black, and since looks are more important than the actors background he shouldn't be able to play anything other than a white or mixed person.:o

And Eddie Murphy shouldn't be able to play fat and Chinese people.

I don't think we should be talking about this.... Let's go to the Gap.

Oh that Stone. What a rascal.

a little off-topic but I was just reminded of the 9/11 statue where the three firefighters(I think it was) raised the American flag out of the rubble. The statue featured a white man, a black man, and a Hispanic man when in actuality it was three white guys.

You could also mention Billy Dee Williams, who at the time was a rather controversial choice for Harvey Dent in Tim Burton's "Batman". He was under full contract to reprise Harvey in "Batman Forever", but director Joel Schumacher wanted Tommy Lee Jones, so they bought out BDW's contract.

I'm pretty Sure Billy would have been a great Two Face.

Billy Dee Williams would've been a great Two-Face.
However, I am (and I bet he is) glad that he got screwed out of the role. Batman Forever's Two-Face was a disaster.

I know which one you're talking about, and that statue is used as a symbol, at the bottom does not display the 3 men's names who pulled the flag out of the rubble. It was a representation of 3 major races, all American, working together in a time of need. It's like you could say the 3 white men who did it in real life is what influenced the statue to be made.

This story is great for the race-baiting all-whites-are racist crowd. However, if they read the REST of the story, they would find out it was a mistake.

Marine identified only as Sergeant Thomas (who disappeared shortly after 9/11) has been identified as Jason Thomas, a former Marine who grabbed his uniform and immediately drove to Ground Zero to help. Because his identity was unknown at the time of filming, Sgt. Thomas - who is black - was portrayed by William Mapother, a white man. The producers have since apologized to Sgt. Thomas for the miscasting. Thomas has laughed it off and told them not to be concerned, stating, "I don't want to shed any negativity on what they were trying to show."
