Superman Returns Comic book beginning

Has there been any video of the original beginning to SR as a deleted scene? It was supposed to be an(other) homage to Superman: The Movie which begins with a boy reading an Action Comics book out loud and then segueing to the credits.

If not, someone should be able to reproduce this fairly easily. The theater curtains can be reused from S:TM (possibly colorized); use "December 1978"; use images from the beginning of the SR comic book adaptation; and of course, in the beginning of the SR documentary, Bryan Singer has a young boy reciting the opening text.

Reportedly, the "Requiem For Krypton" documentary on the 2-Disk DVD opens using elements of the original cut of SR, incl. the curtains, Tristan reading the comic book and parts of the original credits version created by Digital Kitchen with the Superman-related newspaper articles.
