Superman Returns The opening & opening credits! What IMPACT did it have on you?

I totally love the opening credits. I'm only 19, but these scenes can be loved by anyone who loves Superman

i quite enjoyed them although it took me a while to realise we were actually travelling through the galaxy to earth....



serves me right for not recognising the planets simply by the way they looked

actually.......the opening sequence was the best part of the movie!!! Jor-El's voice over.......the shot of Krypton exploding......then when the Music hit.....I got goosebumps..........

Now.....if they had stopped the movie right there........I would have been in superman heaven........sadly.......they didn't......oh well

The opening sequence is a mix of Donner's and The Adventures of Superman.

Actually, not true.

I was bored with the title sequence but it just served to drive home the point that Singer was aping Donner.

And Gene Hackman was Luthor.

oh no, not again. Hey there can't be a Lex Luthor who is 70. And Chris is unfortunately dead. So he can't play Superman anymore. There has to be some new stuff and actors. I think it was smart to take the good things of the old movies like the theme. It reminds you of the movies, but you also know that it's a new movie.
